Re: The Phoenix has crash landed
On that note - Craig, is your C4 a "Phoenix" or a Peregrine? Mine was from the latest batch (Aug 2015) same as OP. Hard copy manual in the box is titled 'C4 Peregrine Chronograph' and the hardcopy manual is same as my link above. So from what I have seen, all instructions are now consiste...

Re: The Phoenix has crash landed
I have just read the manual here: https://www.christopherward.co.uk/skin/frontend/christopherward/default/images/staticpages/pdfs/c4_manual.pdf Tested the procedure, and it works. The tricky part is making sure you have the crown in correct position, ie quick date change position, seconds still movi...

Re: Is that really an Omega?
Craigski, the first pilot watch ever was the Cartier Tank Santos. Romans. Thankyou :D I have learnt something else today. Just been reading the History of Pilot Watch (part 1) http://monochrome-watches.com/history-of-the-pilot-watch-part-i-cartier-santos-1904/ I guess I'm more familiar with parts 2...

Re: Is that really an Omega?
I agree with asqwerth its 'interesting' and scooter, its 'different'. I have a problem when a watch is described a type, eg pilots watch, and when I see it it doesnt look like what I would expect a pilots watch to look like. I think its the roman numeral dial that is confusing me, as I have never se...

Re: C4 'Phoenix'
Anyone else had experience with other straps (apart from the C700 above)? Swapped the C4 SS bracelet onto a IRR C7 Mk2, curved ends did not sit flush with lugs. Fitted the leather strap that was on the C7 onto the C4, again fitting was not as good as I would like, curved ends did not sit flush with...

I mostly agree with downer, kind of agree with Kevin and sort of agree with golfjunky. If that helps?

Re: My search for the ultimate diver has ended.
So - unless you are a leather-on-a-diver kind of guy, I don't see the issue - and even then, I'm sure there are plenty of bespoke options available. Leather can look good on some divers, especially 'heritage' style, eg LLD, BBR, etc, but not the Oris. The bespoke options are just wrong, IMHO. Nothi...

Re: My search for the ultimate diver has ended.
have to agree with the others, i've always loved the colors on this watch. if it wasn't for those lugs... Agree. But 1) on the bracelet the lugs don't stand out as much, its just part of the whole thing 2) some people report that the reason the Aquis bracelets are nice and comfy is because of the b...

Re: My search for the ultimate diver has ended.
The turtle picture was taken from a google image search result for "Maldives". A reverse image search would have done it I think. All the other pics were too easy, with those huts and water island formations. I did the reverse image search trick, and saw the Maldives. But as soon as I saw...

Re: Citizen Chronomaster HAQ/HEQ
I have no problems with the search function but the words "the" and "citizen" are not really helpful for searching. Didn't think of adding HAQ though... The important bit is the double quotes, this tells google to search the exact words: site:christopherwardforum.com "the c...
