Re: T3 Awards 2020: Christopher Ward's C60 Sapphire is the top watch under £1000

I trust a watch "review" by T3 as much as I trust a Covid-19 briefing by Matt Hancock.

Nonetheless, well done CW, the Sapphire is great. Don't think the T3 award adds any weight to how good the watch is though.

Hear that ticking noise?

It's the sound of inevitability.

I say relax, let the tractor beam pull you in and enjoy the ride. You'll have plenty of time in 2021 to seek therapy.

Re: Bezel inserts

The real scandal here is the ridiculous "handling fee" of £8 that the Royal Mail charges for imports on top of the customs and duty. You can at least claim the customs and duty back through HMRC but the RM are dogs when it comes to claiming the handling fee, even if there was a mistake and HMRC refu...

Awful looking watches, the pair of them
Don't know what they're smoking down in Maidenhead but please stop

Re: New Oris movement - 15/10

Oris already had a 10 day power reserve movement so wondering why this took them 5 years to develop.

Re: C60 Abyss SH21 now on the website

Not into PVD finishes or the Abyss range but this one kinda works for me. I like it.

That height though, I'd be worrying whenever I check the time in case a bird swoops down to perch on the dial :-k

Lovely colour but too many markers and that alu bezel is just waiting to be whacked.

Re: Its what we've all been waiting for . . . .. .

This is the first CW I've really liked in ages. Shame about the height (and cost) but nice to see summat else instead of yet another military collection.

Already have 2 chrono's, need to convince myself I don't need another :(

Re: How often do you sport a moonphase?

Have had two moonphase watches, the last one being a Seiko Moon for about a year and loved wearing it as my sole dressy watch. Had lots of comments too if you get a nice one with a gold moon instead of one just printed on. However, if it's an automatic (like both mine were) and you dont wear it ever...

Re: What do Chr Ward fans think of the C40 Speedhawk?

The Speedhawk was my very first CW (sniff!) and I like it lots on the stock butterfly bracelet; domed crystal, retro look, old skool logo, polished indices and hands, decent lume, steel bezel, exhibition caseback, the red highlights and super grippy crowns. What I'm not so keen on is the 7750 as the...

Re: C65 Anthropocene Limited Edition

I was excited to see this; at last, a white dial Trident with legible hands, indices and a splash of colour. Then I saw those awful squared off hands which are about as useful as a wooden spoon for telling the time. Is it 10:37 or 10:38? God only knows. As for setting the time accurately, forget it ...

Thanks for posting some really great pics

Seems like the blue lightens / darkens quite a bit depending on when it catches the light.

Re: FLE #8 - major changes

Not a fan of two tone dials so didn't put my name down for the first one. If I had though, an alu bezel would rule it out for sure, I've had them before and they look used and worn in no time tending up pick up the slightest scratch. Look forward to a reboot though if it ends up going back to the dr...
