Re: Stay loyal to Watchmaker?
Why use needle nose pliers instead of a proper watch caseback opener with the correct bit to match the indents?

Re: Value retention for premium models
I'd say that the CW resale value also depends ( to a certain degree) on the scarcity of the model. Limited editions or smaller runs are more likely to realise higher resale values.

Re: Freewheelin’
Really enjoyed the documentary, so much so that I watched it twice (yesterday and again today). Was fascinating to see the design process and decisions behind the launch, and also put the names to the faces. I like the new movement and love the exhibition caseback but with no seconds hand, no date, ...

Re: Non CW of the Day
Somewhat of a famiy heirloom which was passed down to me about 10 years ago. Its a vintage Seiko quartz from the 80's with a sunburst dial in a retro 32mm gold case and matching gold bracelet. Not something I ever wear as it's too small and not my style of watch but I still enjoy looking at it every...

1 incoming, 4 outgoing but my sole incoming is already a week late from being despatched using Royal Mail tracked delivery
Fingers crossed it'll turn up but it seems to have gotten lost in the system

A shame that James Martin doesn't wear a CW when "presenting", it'd be a lot more interesting than his pretentious cooking.

Re: Here we go.....
I'd much rather CW stop trying to push the envelope with arty watches (looking at you BC and C1 Moonphase
) and go back to functional design that serves a useful purpose (step forward Lumiere and Sapphire Edge).

Re: Extending the Lumiere range.... in my dreams
I'd like to see a yellow version with gloss black hands in a DLC case, preferably with a date window and power reserve gauge.

Re: Is this really true?
Entirely possibly with the recent price positioning. I think that a lot of luxury watch manufacturers have misread the market and will now struggle with sales as a result. Walking past my local Rolex AD, they windows are once again full of watches. Rewind a few years ago and the shelves were bare. ...
