Re: Do I want an Omega?

By coincidence, I have been spending some time in the Omega boutiques in Bangkok, as my sister has been visiting from Oz (landing at 10.30ish at Maroochydore via Sydney, in the morning, if you'd like to pick them up Gary - lol) and she has set her heart on one of 2 or 3 ladies Omega's, but sadly fai...

Re: Anonimo watches

They were available with P&C but as with Damasko and others, fell away.

I like a lot of their models and would love to see one in the flesh. I personally don't agree with the comparison to Magrette.

Re: FLE #8 - major changes

Well, for what's it worth, from AVO's post, stick the dial from 2 into the watch at 3 and even I would consider buying it!

Re: Why Keep This Forum Going?

I certainly agree with the views about the forum becoming more interactive and helpful (provide a gallery hosting service for example), but the platform would need to change for that. Forums have peaks and troughs, but in general, I think most, whatever their subject matter, have settled down to low...

Re: My C65 Trident GMT isn't waterproof!

Luxury watch brand divers might well be fine, but why on earth would anyone want to use them in the sea. Because I could? This felt the right thing to wear, being as close as I could get it to it's original intention (that might be debatable). My then 3 year old PO after snorkelling at the barrier ...

I really like this, but it seems like the hour hand is too short and the minute hand is too long.
I agree, but I also find the hand's too overbearing compared to the rest of the watch. I think something more subtle was needed.

Clearly CW are taking this area seriously...
Yes, well, maybe. They have traditionally been behind the curve on the causes of moans and groans. Basically playing catch-up. But let's hope MF actually delivers this time.

Re: For those that want the logo at 12 o'clock - Here you go, C65 SH21 LE

White numerals and markers throughout and a colour coded date window and it would have been near perfect. The date window in black looks an aberration. The date window in black makes the date much more readable for me and my ageing eyes...otherwise I'd want a cyclops and CW don't do them. Good for ...

Re: Can the forum format be changed?

I'm fully in favour of the like button. I belong to the Watch Forum and we have the full range of likes available there and it works. But it is a much broader church than here and everything is open to discussion (within the rules) and much more online interaction as well - raffles, forum fundraiser...

Re: Can the forum format be changed?

I agree with the OP about having a like button but I'm confused as to why he doesn't class an internet forum as being 'social media'? I do classify the forum as social media. When most people think of the term social media, they immediately think of FB, Instagram, and twitter. I was just trying to ...
