Re: The Tudor Black Bay 41 Slayer

I thought the thread title was in respect of yet another BB variant hitting the shelves. Pity really, as it's a great name for a watch! :D

Re: Video interview with Chris Ward himself

^^^^^ Since I joined the forum in November 2013, a few numbers have often been mentioned in various threads, for number of watches sold and year on year growth. If I recall correctly the numbers always seem to have been 20,000 watches and 20% year on year growth. Neil That is also my impression for...

Re: Disappointed with Christopher Ward

I'm just baffled by this initial post. Going over 3 months before giving it a spin is just crazy. But he hasn't said that. He's never said how long it was after he received the watch, that he first wore it. In a subsequent post he said the corres with CW has been going on for weeks. If it was more ...

Re: Disappointed with Christopher Ward

It is quite clear on their website that the watch must be in perfect, unworn condition to be returned under 60/60. I returned one watch to them last year under 60/60 and clarified with them via phone that you are able to try the watch on your wrist for a Short period of time so long as it is still ...

Re: Visitor Linden

The date window kind of messes up the look of the 'cross hair' - I'm not sure it should be there, but as it is, maybe a white background might have been better?

Re: NEW - Trust Pilot review

Actually reading the responses to the complaints is interesting. As they seem to be using such complaints as a fault finding exercise, resolving and offering solutions where they can. As most of what I read was to do with poor communication, delays, errors and a general lack of common courtesy when ...

Re: 25-Day Journey

The specifics of his review aside, I didn’t find that to be a particularly well written piece. It’s in need of some serious editing. I admire the fact he can write so well in what is his 2nd language. I think it add's a nice quirkiness to such articles. Just a personal view (it's quite common over ...

Raw emotion is both powerful and moving. Your shared love and devotion shines through.

I just listened to a live version of the song. Wow - she'll be proud of that.

My sincere condolences to you, your family and friends and RIP to your wife.

The watch was shipped to an address in New Malden KT3 6.
Phew not me then! For 10 years until April 2009 I lived in New Malden KT3 3! Obviously the neighbourhood has gone down since I left!!

Shouldn't this be reported to the Police?

Re: which of these affordables for a knockabout watch?

I have a Boldr voyager, bought in January at my favourite watch shop in Bangkok, which now stocks them. Mine is brass. It's fine. The NATO it came on was poor and it's now on a Boldr leather strap, which isn't great either, but I was really after the brass buckle.. I also bought a Seiko Prospex Land...

Re: Story Of A New Watch - It’s Not An Explorer, But It’s Certainly Been On A Journey

I think CW should take a long hard look at the risks associated with personal data breaches and their processes and procedures in place to ensure they don't happen in future. Judging by the above excellent report and response, this wasn't an isolated incident. Should a complaint be made to the ICO, ...

Re: C65 Trident GMT - Pepsi

It's a perfectly decent looking watch, even with the logo, although I find the bezel too thin as well. But it's just one of a plethora of similarly designed watches, at all price points, with a nod to you know what.

Originality please, Mr. Ward.

Re: Would you purchase new luxury micro brand or used luxury watch with heritage?

Damasko watches are really the opposite of luxury watches. No brand recognition by the general public and no shiny/flashy cases, dials, bracelets. No brand ambassadors, no expensive marketing/advertising and no feel-good stories about climbing Everest, watch worn on the moon or taken to the depths ...
