Re: Statues

My feeling is that there are more important issues at hand than removing statues, and more compelling efforts to invest energy in to make progress for #blacklivesmatter. Also my sentiment. Mine too. Reading Soledad Brother whilst a schoolboy was something of a rude awakening to a World I knew nothi...

Re: Buy two watches, get a free flight in a Spitfire

I'm normally a Bremont fan, but these leave me a little underwhelmed, being honest. But at least it's a genuine LE, with only 80 available.

I think a lot of small brands are suffering in the same way right now. One company that Schofield were dealing with went bust!

Re: Bell and Ross BR05 Skeleton - Blue

Bears no similarity to any CW I have seen and B&R are softening the edges on a range of their watches. Still way too much bezel for my liking. But 10/10 for clarity, unusual in such designs.

Re: Page and Cooper

It's a pity to learn that a well established trader has been brought down, presumably because of the economic climate prior to the virus and then by the virus itself. I bought a Damasko from them and the service was excellent. I liaised with them about other watches, which for whatever reason, I did...

Re: Statues

I think it’s worth noting that statues are erected to commemorate, elevate, and celebrate. Removing a statue isn’t rewriting or ignoring history, it’s simply saying this person is no longer worth commemorating, elevating, or celebrating. Some statues ought to be taken down because they absolutely c...

Re: T3 Awards 2020: Christopher Ward's C60 Sapphire is the top watch under £1000

Surprised you've not heard of T3. They cover a wide range of Tech & gadgets and are often the go to magazine for Smartphones, Cameras etc. (not just the arguably mundane items you've selected above). Nope, never heard of them, have no real interest in smart phones other than they work and for camer...

Re: T3 Awards 2020: Christopher Ward's C60 Sapphire is the top watch under £1000

Never heard of the magazine but hey ho, good to be listed alongside the best washing machine, air fryer and suitcase, amongst others. Excuse the cynic in me, but does anyone really believe that this magazine has personally tested all these watches? Or wonders why they provide a link to amazon for ma...

Re: Watch "15.000€ Rolex vs. 640€ Homage | Jenni Elle"

It almost felt to me like she has come to the party late. From the minute I first joined a watch forum, this topic has always cropped up and I doubt there is anything new to say on the subject. But she's a more entertaining talking head than some and I like the presentation style and editing. But pe...

Re: Watch "The Tudor North Flag Is A Forgotten Bargain"

I'd agree with the sentiments about this watch. Nicely restrained but still with strong design elements. I'd be happy to own one.

That said AP still manage to get the bolts/thingamabobs perfectly aligned in every watch that I have seen pictures of and that was my point.
Maybe the screws / bolts on the watch are produced by CW to emulate Hublot, rather than AP. It would be more apt!

Mine were all shipped out to Thailand and have been added to since, thanks for your interest! :D

I brought a selection of my old vinyl stuff as well although as yet, have nothing to play them on. :(

Re: C60 Sapphire - New Release

I think it's very good and I agree that the website doesn't really 'sell' the watch as it should. It's not a new idea, but it's a nice take on the idea and considering the R&D involved, the price is also very good. Yup, hat's off to CW, I hope it sells well for them. As an aside, on the last few pos...
