Re: I bought a Rolex above rrp

That's a great watch, and I understand your logic. Of all the watches I have bought and sold; I have only lost money on one watch. The last watch I bought, I paid full price, I didn't even try to negotiate as it was a watch I wanted. People will always tell you that can get a better deal. Unfortunat...

Re: repair info

Hello thanks for the comment. Sorry I don't follow this site often. CW said that the watch has been subject to some kind of severe fall or impact that caused it to stop working. It had not. I told them fine keep the watch I don't want to throw good money after bad. They then said they would fix it ...

No, they have not all been completed. I'm still waiting.

Re: The Tudor Black Bay 41 Slayer

I realize that the Tudor BB 41 is a dress watch... Whilst the BB 41 does wear well with shirt sleeves and a suit, it is equally at home in a more rugged environment. I wear my BB 41 on a daily basis. This includes wearing whilst walking in the hills and swimming in the sea. The BB 41 is a watch whi...

Re: Forum Survey Results

Hhhmmm.... I will stick my neck out. I was one of the people who feel that the forum is negative and cliche. The forum runs on the conscious of the majority. If one deviates from the main stream opinion; woe betide. Christopher Ward make good watches, hence the reason I bought CW watches and then jo...

Re: 40mm Trident. Could it be true?

Do you remember this advert?

If Christopher Ward really do think they are comparable to Tudor, they will seriously need to up their game.
A 40mm Trident would be interesting. However, Tudor have already released an excellent 39mm in the form of the Tudor Black Bay 58.

Re: Battery life?

Please see the reply from Alex at Christopher Ward. Christopher Ward have now emailed me to say they will refund my 27.46 Euro. However, the money is irrelevant. It is the confusing information they have on their website in relation to battery life. Dear Nick, Just to clear up any confusion here - t...

Re: Battery life?

Thanks for the replies. The watch was returned because it had stopped. This wasn't the first time it had stopped and also wasn't the first time the watch had needed to be returned to CW. If I had known it was a battery, do you not think I would have just changed the battery instead of paying £22.95 ...

Re: Battery life?

Even the reviewers belief the battery life is longer than 18 months. This is a well-known and rather common Swiss Made workhorse Quartz movement. There’s not usually a lot to say about Swiss made Quartz movements, but in many cases that’s a good thing. It’s reliable, not a lot can go wrong with it, ...

Re: Battery life?

I have contacted CW customer services and they are saying: "The 45 month battery life is only valid if you engage the long life function by pulling the crown out"

I personally feel this is very misleading.

Battery life?

I have returned a C60-38-Q-SKVT under the 60:60 guarantee to Christopher Ward. This is the second time I have had to return the watch. The watch was bought on 26/02/2016, it has already been returned once due to a previous fault which was fixed. This time, CWL are saying there is a battery fault and...

Customer service

Continuing the theme of good customer service; just recieved my C60 which was returned under the 60:60 guarantee. Excellent service by CW. The date frame had become detached. I contacted CW, late on a Saturday evening, enquiring whether it was covered under the 60:60 guarantee. I recieved a couple o...

Re: Steinhart or C8

Steinhart wins for me.
I have owned several CW and whilst I am a fan of CW, Steinhart just edges it for me.
Obviously, all opinions are subjective.
