Re: All our yesterdays…
It sounds to me Neil like you are falling out of love with the whole watch collecting thing. Buying further watches doesn't seem to be making you any happier than you were with the watches you had pre retirement in 2015. Is less more? Well, I think so, it gives you a chance to get intimately famili...

Re: All our yesterdays…
Excellent post Neil You know exactly my views on this money swallowing hobby that can be far too all consuming than is ideal. For me at least more and definitely more valuable does not equal more enjoyment I suspect you do really need to start selling a good chunk to start feeling comfortable. Flip...

All our yesterdays…
It is raining heavily, the sky is grey, it’s cold. I really don’t like this time of year, a lack of sunshine and insufficient daylight hours, plus the hassle of Christmas. I like Christmas when it arrives, or more correctly stated as I like spending Christmas with family, it is just all that comes b...

My first experience of Lebanese wine was in 2001, at a tasting of Chateau Musar, which is still a favourite. We tried another Lebanese wine this evening. Not as heavy as Musar and went well with miso coated duck breast.

+/- 0 seconds after almost six weeks. At no stage during that period has it ever exceeded +2.

Re: Looks like the Ward Hoard Business is up for Sale...
Can't help thinking that anyone could just start a like for like from scratch though... You could say that about any business.....correct me if I’m wrong but aren’t you basically buying his stock and the business model/website/name is thrown in :? Not necessarily, it depends on the sale price… Most...

Lindsey your pic is causing me great concern….
Please remove the bracelet and put it on the correct way around.
If you do a watchy wrist roll you will note that the omega logo is currently upside down.

Re: Vertex M100 Watch Review
As we are in thread resurrection mode… :) I tried one on at an event in November 2018. The referral codes weren’t that exclusive, as I was given one by the chap running the brand . 4A91DBA6-316F-4D7E-BDE4-F6C159D67848.jpeg I don’t think the referral from an existing owner has passed the test o...

Re: Would you go to the ends of the Earth?
I have bought a few watches over the years from a shop about 150 miles from home. Although I didn’t have to make specific trips to pick up the watches. I picked them up when in the area either on holiday or staying with family.

Re: Nivada Grenchen Antarctic 35mm
Congratulations Lindsey.
I look forward to seeing the pics of your white dial, beige lume, NG Antarctic 35mm when it arrives.
Probably as close as you are likely to get to your polar watch, unless Rolex release a white dial 36mm Explorer.
I think it looks rather splendid.

Re: WR testing by CW after repair/service
This thread reminds me of my approach to wearing a watch in water. :) My solution for selecting a swimming watch is just to wear any watch that I have purchased new, or been serviced in the last 5 years (or last 10 if a Rolex). Neil Without getting into the technicalities of whether testing to 30m, ...
