Re: Eight years here !

Congratulations Ferg.

(It’s a bloody wonder I have never called you Ferguson, as that’s what my autocorrect wants to do every time I type Ferg! :) )

^^^^^Resigned acceptance would be a better way to explain it!

I think I recognise that splendid Broad Arrow Speedy. Looks great on the bracelet.

Well I thought it was normal behaviour to take a watch pic, whilst out for a walk!

Brenda - how much are you willing to pay?
Well that would depend on condition, including B&P, and details of service history......

Re: Draken Kalahari

That’s an interesting dial Guy; clever implementation of the date and PR complications. The strap looks to me just to be a NATO made from stretchy stuff, rather than a MN which has a different style of fastening without a NATO style buckle, that being the benefit of an MN, as you size to f...

^^^^^ A couple of those as chasers, with a few of these would do the trick nicely! :)

Seems to be a well named pint. New to me, but after a couple I have decided that drinking too many and walking home, would resemble trying to walk in a quagmire!

Re: The Tudor Black Bay 41 Slayer

^^^^^ No need to apologise. We like the occasional dose of hyperbole! Hope you are enjoying the Tudor BB GMT. Explorer 1 - now that is absolutely an all rounder and one of my favourite watches. The classic watch, suitable for beach to boardroom, via a mountain hike and nice restaurant. :) ...

Re: The Tudor Black Bay 41 Slayer

There is co-existential harmony in my watch box for both CW and Tudor. :) Although the CWs probably feel a bit down in the dumps, as they receive minimal wrist time compared with the Tudors. That said, I am not sure why a medium/large sized example of the fixed bezel modern sports watch genr...

Re: Brands - How Much Are You Willing To Pay?

The amount that I am prepared to pay for a particular brand isn’t just based upon my experience of the brand. It’s also dependent on the other watches that I have in my collection. E.g. I like dive watches and I like Seiko as a brand. When the SLA017 was released I thought “I really like that”. Plen...

Re: Mid-life crisis, challenge, bucket-list or life-long dream?

Well, three months later and tomorrow is day one of my IAM training. I’ve covered almost 4000 miles on the BMW and feel ready for the next steps, which should enable me to smoother and safer. Must admit I’m also strongly considering swapping a couple of watches for an additional bike... Now that IS...
