Re: Non CW of the Day

The wife wanted to know what I wanted for my birthday. sugess daytona.jpg A real one would cost far less today than a couple of years ago. I tried on this one, that belongs to a form work colleague, about 5 years ago… IMG_6993.jpeg Cost even less when he bought it. I recognised it across the room w...

Re: Northern lights

This might be lost on anyone from outside the UK. IMG_0131.jpeg Timing is everything! I missed the Aurora Borealis when we were in Scotland in September, I missed it in York, it reached as far as the Isle of White this week and I still missed it. Apparently there is a first time visible in 80,000 y...

Will open this one in a couple of hours…

Hopefully it will hit the spot alongside a Mutton loin from Pipers Farm, for this evening’s main course.

The internet has just told me that there are other definitions of growler that are neither a beer receptacle or pork pie! :silent:

Re: Tudor becoming more like Rolex….

My first world Tudor problem is similar to yours. I have a BB58 and a BB Pro. The pro has the t-fit so I’m able to adjust on the fly. The BB58 doesn’t, so I’m always struggling for the right fit. My BB Pro was an eBay purchase with which the previous owner included a half link. I excitedly tried to...

Re: Tudor becoming more like Rolex….

But then, using the same bracelet across models is a cost-effective solution which sacrifices designing a bracelet specifically for each model to optimise fit, proportions, and value of each model. You only need to try a 36mm CWL on a Bader and then the same bracelet barring end links on a 39mm CWL...

Re: Tudor becoming more like Rolex….

I guess it’s akin to Rolex refusing to sell you an Oysterflex (rubber) strap unless it is for the watch for which it was intended e.g. they would not sell me one for my Submariner but would if I owned a YM. Only if it was a Rose Gold YM. All you need to do though is know someone with the appropriat...

Tudor becoming more like Rolex….

OK I admit, somewhat of a click bait heading, but bear with me! Hopefully this thread may be of interest to those that own more than one Tudor. Two of my Tudors are the BB58 and BB-Pro. Both 39mm cases (albeit the Pro case is fatter), with 20mm lug width. The Pro has the T-Fit clasp, the 58 do...

It has been a Bel Canto kind of day…

Which one? Well the original, before they started breeding like rabbits! :)

Re: Just the eight - a selection of everyday watches

Last weekend I was 3 months into trying to stick with “just the eight”. How did I do? - I ended up wearing 14 different watches, rather than the intended 8 Details as follows… CB139286-771A-4F67-A2E0-631FE3E2BA21.jpeg 601B78FA-7FD4-4047-BCA1-4B4E3CA79C06.jpeg By day 60 I had lapsed a handful of time...

Re: White speedie or fois

When the non LE white was released I thought I will likely buy one at some stage. No inclination to rush to buy one. I will wait until discounts are available and buy from an AD that I tend to use for Rolex, or just buy one preowned at somewhat less than RRP. When the updated FOIS was released I tho...

Re: Stefs SOTC oct 24

Paul having fruit watches has definitely curbed your watch habit. If you are now out the other side I think that four watches is probably the correct number. If you are determined to try a 5 digit Submariner, I would say forget it… Buy a well sorted 5513 with non gold surround plots and ori...
