Strange hobby this! :)

I like this watch more than any of the watches I have that cost me less than £2k.

I’d prefer to save a little more money and buy the real McCoy (McCoy is a more premium homage manufacturer [emoji1787]).
Do I detect a chip on your shoulder?
Would that be an oven ready chip?

Re: Two-handers?

The closest that I have to a two hander is a couple of small seconds that don’t have a minute track. Still easy enough to know the precise time if required.

Don’t think I would cope that well with a straight two hander, other than for occasional wear.

The longitude watch looks absolutely superb, and I could well be very interested apart from one thing – every single watch they produce seems to be in a 44 mm case!
Indeed 44mm.

Why do think I was holding them in my hand for the pics, rather than wearing them!

Re: Proliferation of watch brands, Zero West Watches

I think they have been around for a while. I met the owners and tried on a few at an event in November 2019. Well at least there is plenty of scope for your 1707 post. :)

Re: “Yes, Minister” - Fantasy vintage watch picker

Yes Minister has always been one of my favourite TV series. :)

Rather than thinking about what watches the main characters would wear, I am trying to imagine an update for modern times. :silent:

Re: Watch buying - the questions we ask ourselves

The questions I ask myself have varied over the years. However it has now become rather straightforward:

“Will I end up wearing it, as often as my 8-10 currently most worn?”

If the answer is no, the watch is a no.

Re: Watches that never made it past a prototype

One of one I believe.

An orange ceramic bezel proved a step too far.

Bought at an archive event in 2015.
