Re: Non CW of the Day

That said, I am off to try on a few GS on bracelet this afternoon. :) Neil Ooh, you lucky so and so. Make sure you get some photos! Especially of the 9F GMT please  Will do. I particularly want to try on stuff that uses the 44GS case, particularly SD models. Also keen to try on t...

New addition - #2 in 4 days. I must have been in the sun too long or just lucky [emoji256][emoji3] https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190820/36736a4d9fd008d094c253bbc7a66e6a.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk If you hadn’t bought it I would have thought you had spent too long in the Sun! :thumb...

Re: Non CW of the Day

^^^^^Cheers Paul!

I think I will keep this as one of my few “strap only” watches for a bit of variety, as I have more than enough “bracelet only” watches.

That said, I am off to try on a few GS on bracelet this afternoon. :)

Re: Iconostasis - the Watch Wonderwall

I give you the Rolex Datejust. Launched in 1945, to most folk outside the strange world of WIS, Rolex = Datejust. By far the best selling Rolex model. Available with a range of sizes, materials, dials and indices, I reckon it’s the most recognisable Rolex model to Joe Public. For one watch Rolex ow...

Well as the thread seems to be taking a nap, with many iconic watches still to be mentioned, thought it time to post another. :) I give you the Rolex Datejust. Re: Edinburgh Fringe trip

Ah the GTG. Yep looking forward to it. The key question though is what watch to wear and are you also taking a spare in your pocket, as IIRC you are also staying over the previous and following nights? Neil Funnily enough, I'd already wondered about that but haven't given it enough consid...

Re: Non CW of the Day

^^^^^ Great pic of the Hulk Paul. It seems that ADs have been getting even less of them this year. There is (admittedly not for the first time) talk of it being discontinued....... Neil Thanks Neil. I strongly suspect that nobody outside of Rolex hq would know if there was any truth in th...

Re: Edinburgh Fringe trip

The concept of rare and discount in the same sentence doesn’t really work for me! I suspect ADs are talking them up as rare. When I last visited an AD a few weeks ago, to pick up a bit of plastic, they also had an S & G Chrono with no one on a list waiting for it. I do think it manages to pull off ...

Re: Edinburgh Fringe trip

Always good to try on a few watches whilst out and about Patrick, combining it with the Fringe sounds even better. The concept of rare and discount in the same sentence doesn’t really work for me!
