Re: How Have Your Tastes Changed
1) I've always liked 40mm or less - I prefer smaller vintage watches now 2) I started buying automatics when I got into this and now I wear automatic and manual wind. Not seen a quartz I fancy recently but I own a number, pre hobby. 3) I used to like divers watches but don't see the point with my li...

Re: Which way to go for the big 5-0?
I had that significant birthday in February and did the cliche and bought a vintage Rolex. 1970’s were more than I wanted to pay but ended up with a 6426 from 1973.
Very happy with it and fits in the collection well.

Fake/Homage CW watches
This may have already been posted but was looking for something else on eBay (a watch obviously) and stumbled across this. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Mens-Wristwatch-CW-Diver-Sapphire-Luminous-sharkey-Heimdallr-Sport/283343537185?hash=item41f8974421:m:mlpPEC5cp8FIqR134i3SpEA&var=584275642690 I'm a...

Re: Motorsport - Forum Interest?
It's always the plan to come back to BIM but this year has been bruising financially and emotionally (my wifes business failed and my father died) so next year things have to settle down and grow before I can afford to come back (just realised it must be 16 years since I sat beside Wee Wee in the 0 ...

Re: Motorsport - Forum Interest?
Hi James, still around but fallen out of love with CW due to the logo and loving cheap vintage watches and my Speedmaster which if I was strong enough would be my one watch....but I'm weak. So you're in chassis 272, was that a new build by MSport? How does it go and is the first one in the WI? I've ...

Re: Black tie advice
Etiquette actually dictates no watch at a Black Tie event, apparently, as you shouldn't be worried about the time but enjoying your hosts company and hospitality etc.
Personally I'd wear neither but a small vintage watch, if I didn't have that already I'd wear what I wanted.

Seagull 1963 Crystal Fallen Out!
My wife has been wearing my 1963 and she brought it to me with the crystal out. She says it just fell out.
Has anyone had this happen to them and is it just push fit? I’ve taken it to Timpsons and they won’t touch it (I couldn’t just push it in with thumbs)
Any help appreciated

Re: Motorsport - Forum Interest?
WRGB went well but could have gone better. Crew got up to 2nd in class but on the Saturday night snapped the front subframe and steering rack. This needed an over night replacement ahead of the final day. Final result a creditable 51st o/a and 5th in class. No more Motorsport at present in the diary...

Re: Motorsport - Forum Interest?
BTCC is as my entry drug to the world of Motorsport back in the 90’s but tend to not watch it too much these days due to the poor driving standards.
Chateau Impney interests me as a venue.

Re: Motorsport - Forum Interest?
So since my last update I’ve run the feature stage at Castle Combe and been the Motor Sport Association’s nominated representative (MSA Steward) at two events. This week it’s Wales Rally GB, Britain’s round of the WRC, and I’m managing the driver I was sat with earlier in the season. What that means...
