Re: Archive Event
Would be interesting to know their pricing strategy too. Other than the 10 #1s being auctioned, the rest could be NN price, less, full price - anything! I can't imagine they'll be bargain basement prices though because people rushing round trying to snatch them up is probably not the glamourous even...

Re: Nearly New just added ! (06/03/15)
Some of those are Club 995 items. So,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Sooo, the prices are still good but the savings are misleading, and probably im breach of trading standards (or similar)? Sounds about right. The page says "Save up to 40%". How is that in breach of anything? That isn't, I was referring t...

Blimey, surprise timing on this one! That typhoon was a steal! Surprised to see the nearly new C60/C61 at a higher price than their last new price though

Re: Would you like to see a 40mm version of the Trident?
The difference from 38 to 40 and 40 to 42 is clearly noticeable, being as it is a ~10% increase in area each step. I think that's enough to make a huge difference in appearance. As others have said though there are so many other factors involved, including people's own preferences. Personally I agre...

Re: Club 995
As well as setting the time, they would have to ensure the power reserve was sufficiently charged to keep it running through the delivery process. I think for an auto to arrive running and only a few minutes out is pretty good.

Re: Silly question about dive watch bezels
To be fair if you're using tables, the math of 'I set it for 50 but came up on 5' is pretty straightforward! I can see both sides. A 'normal' bezel is probably still better in case of emergency situations, but given that you work out how long you can stay down BEFORE the dive, and should NEVER excee...

Re: C60 COSC correction notice from CWL
They clearly have records of what goes into every watch (to be able to contact only those affected), which means sellitas were knowingly used. I suspect there was a miscommunication somewhere and SH mistakenly thought it was fine to use the movements, and noone from CW noticed it had happened. Shoul...

Re: Sellita instead ETA in my C60 COSC
CW may produce the right answer in the end, but I agree they have not followed the first principle of "get the cow out of the ditch". They appear to be doing things in the wrong order, although I trust they will arrive at the correct conclusion. Not really. There's nothing wrong with taki...

Will be interesting to see if this results in a voluntary product recall of the batch(es) involved to substitute the correct movement.

Re: Battle for the deep
Agree with you there. We all knew the colour choice took inspiration from the popularity of the BB, but this makes it look too obviously like they deliberately designed it as an alternative to the BB.
Haven't read the article yet though.

Re: Sellita instead ETA in my C60 COSC
Blimey! The way I see it is that they were using eta and sellita I the non cosc, and holdimg back some of the eta for the cosc. We all know the reason is supply/availability of the eta. Presumably they ran out of eta completely at some point and so some sellitas were put in, and either cwl didn't kn...

Re: How much love do you give your bracelet?
Having seen what Greg can do with a scrathed bracelet, I'm not at all worried about scratching mine because I know when it gets really bad I can get ot rejuvenated.
Still careful of course, though I did scratch it twice just fitting it!

Re: Hopping on the poor quality bandwagon
If you're reliant on the watch for your dive amd the bezel comes off, you end the dive. Risk isn't much of an issue unless the bezel loosens and rotates, in which case you could be reading incorrect timings which has the potential to be very serious indeed.

Re: Is six weeks repair resonable?
Re: 60/60, if they replace the movement I don't think you'll get a 'new' 60 month warranty, but probably the balance of your original 60 will remain. Moat companies wouldn't give you a whole new warranty, and some even treat a replacement as ending your original warranty.
