Re: Daily specials to beat the sales peaks!

Couple of TMB special editions up at the moment, 30% off nearly new (in the clearance section).

Daily specials doesn't seem to be working...

Re: I'm new here and honestly...

I think of those, I'd choose the black/ red. A bit more versatile. And the bracelet is a must!

Re: Jan sale

I've not had a CW for a while, but chuffed to pick up a bronze C60 trident 38mm for half price. I had the SS version a few years ago, and miss it more than pretty any other of my watches.

Re: Quality v. Steinhart

I currently have a Steiny O1 titanium 500, with the premium Soprod A10-2 movment. It's a lovely bit of kit, especially with the display back, and decorated movement. I also have the 38mm version of the Trident Pro ceramic, with white dial and green bezel. Also lovely. In the past I've had about 3 O1...

Re: Steinhart Ocean One Vintage

Steinhart do make great watches, compare well with CW I reckon. I recently got hold of an Ocean One titanium 500, really pleased with it. Big and toolish, but light and comfortable. Also has some unique styling cues (date at 6, use of blue) that I really like. Makes a good companion to my Trident Pr...

Re: Have you ever felt self conscience about your watch?

It usually doesn't worry me at all what's on my wrist. I've had a couple of Rolexes, lots of Omegas and other reasonable stuff, current collection is a bit more modest, but has nice pieces that I like (CW, Steinhart, Seiko, G-shocks). My Rolexes were both 16570 Explorer IIs, and as such tended to go...

Re: Quartz accuracy

I either use Time.is, or sync against my multiband G-shock. That one is always right!!

One big surprise was my (now departed) 1978 Bulova Accutron hummer- despite being 40 years old, it kept to less than 2s out over about 3 months.

Re: Did Christopher Ward Trident Pro 300 come in "Automatic

You should be able to pick up a 600 pro for that kind of money, unless you particularly wanted a 300?

Big and small!

I've had the 38mm quartz for a while, liked it so much I decided to replace with the 42mm auto. Here's a shot while I have both. https://vgy.me/Ws0vnD.jpg It's interesting to see the contrast- for me the 42 is alot bigger in the flesh, and wears bigger than its size! It makes the 38mm look tiny!! I ...

Re: Steinhart watches

I've had 4 Ocean ones (including the vintage GMT), one Ocean two and an Ocean 44, and always found the quality to be excellent. Not up with CW, but certainly as good if not better than many of the boutique makers out there. It has never bothered me, but some criticise them for producing alot of watc...
