Custom Duties on CW purchase
^^ Do we know for certain if it's CW not just DHL (as per DCDre) not properly looking for the attached paperwork? When I received my watch, the pouch with the shipping label and paperwork included the necessary watch valuation worksheet. CW hadn’t sent me a valuation sheet when I contacted support,...

Re: Custom Duties on CW purchase
Richard,
I’d definitely stay on top of things with DHL. I’d ask them specifically about the bonded storage fee and whether you may be subject to that.
And let me know if you need a blank watch worksheet. I likely have one on the computer.

Re: Custom Duties on CW purchase
Richard, I went through this with DHL and CW at the end of 2019. It ended up being an expensive and frustrating experience. I bought a C65 Black Gold one, so the price range was similar. I got a notice that the watch would be getting delivered soon, then nothing. I kept checking the online status an...

Re: Straps for Bader Clasps
Try swapping the strap around, put the short end on the 6 o'clock lug. Initially I had the same issue with my bader clasp / strap. I ended up installing the strap backwards after a strap swap by accident. Turns out that's the trick I needed to center the bader clasp on my wrist, also 7.25". Tur...

Re: New arrival, Damasko DA44
Another new DA44 owner, mine just arrived yesterday. Top notch watch. I got mine on the bracelet and was able to get a good fit. I like my bracelets just a bit looser, allow the watch to move around on the wrist a bit (keeps the bracelet from being tight when the wrist swells). I was able to get the...

Re: New arrival, Damasko DA44
Nice one, congrats! I'm eyeing the same watch, and in fact considered that very watch that you bought. But I figured it would be easier to get one on my side of the pond and not deal with customs hassles.

Re: Strapcode shark mesh
I used straight bars. The only issue is cutting down a mesh - it's a real pain. I resorted to a vice and a hacksaw. Good luck and enjoy wearing. I've heard it's a pain to cut. Did you have to cut it to fit between the lugs or to size it for your wrist? Looking at the pic it doesn't look like any of...

Re: Who Keeps Records?
I've started keeping a spreadsheet this year, just to quantify which watches get the most wrist time. I mostly know, but this is just an exercise to put hard numbers to it.
I do it through a google sheets spreadsheet. That way I can access the spreadsheet either at a computer or via my mobile.

Re: Tudor Black Bay Black
I am definitely planning on trying a leather strap on mine. Bulang and Sons did a nice feature on the watch and they have some wonderful leather straps that would suit it perfectly. I have mine on a Worn & Wound horween leather strap, fabulously comfortable. Suits the color of the bezel nicely ...

Re: Strapcode shark mesh
I think the bigger mesh looks better on the C60, I got mine from wjean on eBay. Really good quality. Good to see that this mesh fits the C60 Pro 600 case. I picked up the same shark mesh for the MK1 C60 Pro but haven't fit it to the new watch yet. I was almost wondering if I'd run into issues given...

Re: Tudor Black Bay Black
Congrats on your Black Bay, it's a fabulous watch. I've been wearing my red bezeled version for over a year and I still marvel at how nice this watch is. Don't discount trying out a nice leather strap, it changes the watch a fair bit. Especially now that it's gotten cold, I almost prefer my red one ...

Re: 2 piece Nato straps
Well, It does give access to the colours & style of the Nato strap without having the two pieces of the strap running underneath the case. Must admit, until a September I couldn't see the point of the Nato strap at all, and then I bought a watch off eBay that came with a few and very quickly I ...

Re: Bader Buckle
I found that reversing how the bader buckle was mounted to my watch (i.e. which direction it opens / closes) vastly improved the comfort of that buckle. Mounted one way, the curve of the buckle doesn't match the curve of my wrist. Flip it around and it fits great. I had the same issue and resolution...

Re: c65 straps on C60 mk2
I was actually wondering the same myself, but specifically about the first generation C60 case. Will the curved end strap fit on the C60 mkII? Do the C60 and the C65 have the same lugs and use the same straps? Thanks! Replying to myself here. I tried this last night, taking the leather strap with f...
