Re: Social media response to the new brand

Haven't visited this forum in a year or so. Return to find yet another branding exercise. Christopher Ward have gone backwards with each rebrand. Surely they were in a better place when they began? My first impressions of the logo: nondescript, characterless. It would suit a minimalist design, but t...

Re: What watch (ward or otherwise) would you get if you had

I haven't found any watch that I'd spend £3k on personally-- £3k isn't a lot of money but it comes down to value. I just don't think watches are worth that. I'm not buying in to the veblen economics of it all and the prestige behind luxury goods. This is a false economy. It's just a silly little sto...

Re: C7 Rapide Strap Suggestions

I just bought the C70 perforated one above. £25 including the butterfly clasp is a good deal. I prefer the butterfly and small holes in the ralley straps. The fine double stitching is a bonus. Brown ralley straps look pretty cool I find large holes in straps uncomfortable to look at so i very much d...

Re: Watch Size

They now offer small straps in the 15-18cm range; 6.5" = 16.5cm so thatwould be perfect. I've ordered a C7 Rapide mkii v390 with the smaller strap and will be happy to report back if requested. Feedback on the smaller strap will be appreciated for certain. Just noticed the pictures are upside ...

Re: 43 mm frustration?

I looked into getting the C9 Harrison Jumping Hour.......... but, at 43mm with no bezel just too large for my wrist. When the new 5 day C9 was launched I hoped it would be a smaller case... but, too large as well and that blue is sweet......... oh well........... other companies make >43mm dress wa...

Congratulations on the...watch? lol We should be congratulating you on the wedding but hey it's a watch forum, and some on here would stage a wedding just to buy a watch  Yes you probably should've got the date engraved, but it still looks great and you both know on which date you were gifted t...

Re: Watch Size

6.5" wrists here and my biggest watch is the 44mm C8 Pilot as shown below. It's a slim watch so it looks fine I think? The strap is overlapping at the bottom and makes it a little thick, but back then CW only had standard sized straps so it needed an extra hole. They now offer small straps in t...

Re: A bigger watch, that 'wears small'

Well - I bit the bullet. Plumped for the C7 (same as above, but MK2) on a bracelet. I LOVE it. Not too big or chunky on my skinny wrists. I must say I think the CW website is doing it an injustice though, as the photos seem to show the black face & bezel as some kind of dark blue/grey and not t...

Re: Downers Rules of Collecting

My rule when it comes to any hobbies: step away Take a break for a while. Tunnel vision and obsessiveness is not a good thing. You can get totally caught up in the community and culture which is a double-edged sword. You can lose perspective on the hobby itself and where it sits in your life. This i...

Re: C7 Rapide Mk I & II

Nice review and excellent photos. I've just ordered one of these :)

Watch has arrived. Initial impression are that it looks great but I wish it had more heft to it. My C8 pilot weighs a lot in comparison and make it feel more expensive

Re: Thoughts/Experience with C60 Trident Quartz

Can someone help. Leaning toward C7 Rapide. Is the C60 300 better made (more detailed features etc). I'm not worried about the large ticking hand.

Edit: nevermind, i went for the C7

Re: Thoughts/Experience with C60 Trident Quartz

The c60 300 (quartz) versus the C7 Rapide ?

I was dead set on the C7 Rapide but I've always liked the orange bezel C60 with a black strap. The auto has gone so there's little chance of getting that anymore, but there is a quartz version. Which watch would you go for? They're priced the same.
