Re: Buy a 2020 Rolex or order new & wait? Same ref & price

No big wait for that watch. The wife has an ‘in’ with two ADs so if you’re desperate PM me. No big waitlist on that model however so it would be daft to pay RRP+ on the grey market imho. Thanks for the post and offer. I've PM'd twice but they don't seem to want to send and so I've emailed too. Hope...

Re: Buy a 2020 Rolex or order new & wait? Same ref & price

Thanks again to all that have taken the time to post, and for the varying thoughts. I've decided for now to register my interest for a new one and see what happens. We didn't come away from our little jaunt totally empty handed, I also had my eye on an IWC pilots which was in stock so snaffled that....

Re: Buy a 2020 Rolex or order new & wait? Same ref & price

You mentioned an existing relationship with WOS. If it was WOS that you purchased your legacy watch from a few years ago, I doubt you will have to wait inline for a new 126333 behind folk with a limited spending history. Neil I'm hoping so, I bought a Calatrava and DateJust for Mrs DJP31 so hopeful...

Re: Buy a 2020 Rolex or order new & wait? Same ref & price

With my recent tales and experience with Rolex ownership, I suspect you don’t want my advice….  However picking up on one sentence from your post. I haven't made deatiled enquiries but suspect there's a fair wait for a new order. I'm a customer at WOS so have a relationship and am going ...

Buy a 2020 Rolex or order new & wait? Same ref & price

I'm slightly nervous of posting here as I'm conscious I take more from the forum than I give back. I'm also expecting some to say don't buy it at all  Anyway, here goes.I turned 30 years of hard graft into a load of watch vouchers, and am looking to offload a few :D . What I'm looking at is a R...

Re: Rolex a discussion

I'm the OP on that thead, and thought I'd speak to my AD about availability before I got over excited about getting one. I haven't been paying much attention to stock levels, perhaps I shouldn't be surprised that availability isn't great. Oh well, patience is a virtue :( Hi... So, it looks like you...

Re: Rolex a discussion

There's a tread doing the rounds at the mo' https://www.christopherwardforum.com/other-brands/which-one-of-these-two-and-why-t57788.html which the poster asks us which watch we would choose between a Hublot and a Rolex Milgauss as he is considering purchasing one of the two. This led me to the Role...

 Judging by every other post, for which I'm very grateful, you aren't the only one.

I'm begining to wonder whether I 'liked' the Hublot only because it wasn't as bad as the others in their lineup!

Lavaine wrote: Sun Oct 17, 2021 6:05 pm The only issue I have ever had with the Milgauss is the thickness. Otherwise it's a fantastic watch, and just different enough from an OP to always be interesting.

Get the Milgauss.
Thanks for that, looks about the same as the Moonwatch which works ok for me

Re: Which one of these two and why?

If you are buying new, Milguass, no contest. If you really wanted to go Hublot (and this one is nice) SH is the only sensible option. See this thread https://www.christopherwardforum.com/other-brands/what-your-watch-brand-says-about-you-t52374.html and note the Hublot entry - tongue in cheek of cou...

Which one of these two and why?

I always come here when I'm looking for some guidance, so here goes again. I'm considering an addition and am mulling over the Rolex Milgauss https://www.rolex.com/watches/milgauss/m116400gv-0002.html Or the https://www.watches-of-switzerland.co.uk/Hublot-Classic-Fusion-Automatic-42mm-Mens-Watch-542...

Very nice indeed....
