Re: Fine Watch Club - New Norwich Store

Such a strange way of running a business as it stops any passing trade

Re: Car phone cradle

^^^^I can't stand using Google maps on Android auto but that might change one day. For now I'm much happier with the inbuilt sat nav. As for a phone holder, is blue tac not sufficient? Give Waze a go - same map detail (Google bought them) but much friendlier interface  Naaah, I quite likey...

Re: Rugby World Cup

Australia were so bad. Absolutely no game plan - genuinely not a clue what they were trying to do.

Underhill/Curry could be incredible - assuming Underhill stays fit (and B.Curry is a like for like for Tom!).

England did the job they needed to do. Tougher test next week, regardless of opposition.

Re: The "what watch are you day dreaming about now" thread

Both wear the same - I thought the same about the 055 being a bit different, but having also had the 051 black, I feel it's a better watch without the textured dial and multi lume colours. If Seiko had made the 055 just with the blue to black dial and no pattern then I probably would've kept it. I'...

Re: The "what watch are you day dreaming about now" thread

Haven't done any shopping around, but the Seiko can be had with a reasonable discount from First Class Watches (£683). I sold mine as I felt the dial was too plasticky from some angles in bright light due to the textured dial. I still have the SBDC053 on bracelet which may go into SC at some stage....

Re: The "what watch are you day dreaming about now" thread

Looking at a pre-Christmas purchase of one of these but not sure which, so will take a few weeks to mull them over. The Halios would be a pain to source though so they could fall out of contention 20191017_133913.jpg I really like the Farer, although the white textured dial with the applied numeral...

Re: FLE #8 design submissions

The Ombre is nice enough, though given there's already a bronze and silver dialled version, I don't think it's too much of a stretch to think a blue one may be on the cards in the future in the standard line.

Re: FLE #8 design submissions

If I was Kip now I’d be closing the thread and putting the C60 variations from Steve against the cream dial variations of Ryan and seeing if we can get enough interest in any of those. They all look special/different enough to qualify as an FLE to me. This, but the red and green Dartmouth better be...

Nice design but not for me; a plain blue dial GMT seems a bit run of the mill.
Could always make it a gradient dial and contrasting GMT hand?
Probably still wouldn't be my first choice but would definitely meet my 'non-standard' criteria so would be interested in seeing a mock up.

These all work for me, I'm not even particularly fussed about which hand set may be chosen. Was there a version of the blue dial in the red/green case and bezel?
