Re: The Ball Watch Company
A couple pictures of my new EMII Diver (which I managed to rub up against something and scuff today, but that seems to be the pattern with me, I make the watch "unique" very quickly :)) http://downings.smugmug.com/photos/268466577_7u4cT-M.jpg http://downings.smugmug.com/photos/268466766_vN...

Re: The Ball Watch Company
They really do seem to have something for everyone... And as for the quality, when I was comparing them to similar priced brands (entry level Omega mainly), the Ball felt more solid to me. As for my new Ball EMII Diver, well, had a small problem. I said I got it, and I did, but there was a ding in t...

Re: The Ball Watch Company
I can vouch for About Time. That's who I bought my watch from, and they're great to deal with.
It just came about an hour ago actually, and it's really really nice. I'll have some pictures up tonight probably.

Re: The Ball Watch Company
Yep, mine has the 2836... I considered the COSC Diver, but it's considerably more expensive, and bigger (44mm versus 42mm), which I didn't really like, despite having a big wrist. That was really my only concern getting this versus a Seamaster, the movement. The Seamaster at the same AD was about th...

Re: The Ball Watch Company
I've got my first Ball on the way, ordered it from an AD last Tuesday, should be here tomorrow or Tuesday. I looked at several models, and was also considering an Omega 2254, and after trying all of them on, decided to go with the Ball Engineer Master II Diver (with grey accents). Once you handle a ...

Re: Moonphase watches
Ya, I don't know anyone personally, just people on forums. Fortunately there are a couple ADs in the area, and I'm going to look at the watches this weekend. I'll let you know how it turns out.

Re: Moonphase watches
I didn't want to revive a dead thread, but looks like this was used in the last month :) I'm going to be buying a Ball watch in the next few weeks, and I think the Moonphase is at the top of my list. I haven't been able to find any really great pictures of it, but this is the one... http://www.theti...

Re: what do your friends/work colleagues wear?
Lot of quartz Citizens and Seikos at my office, the occasional Fossil. As far as I've seen, I'm the only one with any mechanical watches. The only time people ask me about my watches is when they notice that I'm wearing a different one everyday (I do that some weeks), which is sad, I like talking ab...

Re: WATCH WINDERS - A MUST READ ARTICLE!
Very interesting article... I recently got a winder setup (a cheap one, similar to this http://cgi.ebay.com/BURL-WOOD-2-3-AUTOMATIC-WATCH-WINDER-BOX-BATTERY-OR-AC_W0QQitemZ270212317453QQihZ017QQcategoryZ25259QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem). I've kept my C5 on it for a little over a week, and ...

Re: Aviator with white hands
Yep, the green hands are standard, so he'll replace the white with those if you want, just e-mail him and they'll get back to you I'm sure (they did with me).

Re: Aviator with white hands
Just FYI, I haven't sent mine back yet. Chris wanted me to let the movement break in, so he could regulate it when he switches the hands. Which also means he won't just be replacing the watch, but just the hands I guess.

Well, just for comparison, here's the lume on the Aviator... I'll let yall be the judge.
Re: Nice Crystal on C4
I need to stop looking at these pictures... My only chronograph is a seven year old Seiko, so I wouldn't mind having another one. Nice pictures!

Re: My Small Collection
I'm not sure what kind of lume it is, but for that picture, I held the watch under a normal lamp for 30 seconds to a minute, then turned off the lights and snapped some pictures. I have noticed that just walking in to work from the parking lot, the watch is glowing when I get into my darker office a...
