Re: The Non-Curmudgeons Corner
^^ ^^ Stunning churches, all three. Des One of the great treasures of our county. Norfolk has well over 600 mediaeval churches and some of them are absolutely huge, having been built as symbols of power and patronage by great families such as the Howards and the Boleyns at the height of the wool tr...

Re: The Power Reserve Question (Sealander GMT)
Much depends on what you had been doing while wearing your watch on Saturday. The amount of power wound in by the rotor is very much dependent on your level of physical activity.

Re: The Non-Curmudgeons Corner
Super Saturday! An old friend from university was here on a day trip. After a splendid pub lunch we explored three fantastic Norfolk churches all within a couple of miles of each other: St. Agnes, Cawston, 15th century, huge tower, mediaeval glass and fabulous “Angel Roof”; 249DA4A9-5F03-4377-8367...

Black GMT for me, but only on a day that ends with Y. I got mine last September and within a couple of weeks I took it on a trip to the Greek islands as my only watch. Superb watch and brilliantly legible. Welcome to the forum. Please visit the Member Introduction section and tell us more about your...

Re: Fashion Check: Metal or Leather
I guess that which watches work and which don’t is in the eye of the beholder :D I think there are two things for me here. Firstly, when I wore a mesh strap for a while it was a bit of a hair trap. Ouch. Secondly, and more importantly, I am absolutely fine with a gap between strap and case provided...

Re: Have a laugh with me, not at me...
For me, the big thing that came out of the 2020 Christmas lockdown was that “it’s OK not to be OK.” Without going into details, I wasn’t OK and, as Andrew says, being able to talk about it with folk who understood me better than I ever thought possible made a huge difference. Your input into this fo...

Re: CW has quietly changed the warranty for the better
There’s been quite a bit of talk on the forum recently about this. I’d like to think we had something to do with it! It was a key point in the “What would make CW Great” thread which Kip summarised here. I tried to make this point a few days ago, when someone didn’t quite believe it: they are VERY ...

There is nothing better than having your own fiefdom, your own demesne. I loved my room. Don’t be too dismissive of the fancy pants interactive screens – they can be incredibly useful as teaching aids, but a lot of younger teachers nowadays depend on them entirely. Your best teaching aid is you!
