Will you have to clean the accumulated detritus of millenia off the shelves and floor before using it? ;)
And the owl droppings! I need to fix that dodgy step as well.

Re: New purchase - should I buy the bracelet?

I’ve just taken a look at mine. Just to confirm, there are five positions on the ratchet and fully open it gives you about 9 mm (I was unable to determine it exactly but it’s close enough). Goes from perfect fit to jangly-bangly in seconds. And after using a leather strap I can refit the bracelet in...

Re: New purchase - should I buy the bracelet?

Ratchet adjustment gives you a lot of scope. The bracelet on my C65 is just about a perfect fit when the watch and/or my wrist is cold, and the ratchet is fully in. Fully expanded it is still too loose even on the hottest and most humid of days. Normally I have it about one notch out from fully clos...

Re: New purchase - should I buy the bracelet?

The bracelet you have there is functional and looks okay with the watch. The advantage of getting the CW bracelet is that the end pieces will fit right up to the case and it will look a lot better without that gap.

Re: JJ02 First Single Pusher

It’s quite easy to find out if you explore the archive. All prices are there under the Resale tab.

If you want information about CW watches, it’s pretty much all there now and if people learn to explore it, it often saves time asking questions on the forum.

Re: Wall Art for the Watch Obsessed

They would look nice with the built in bookcases, the free standing cigar humidor, the globe that opens to reveal a bar, big leather club chairs, an antique desk, the in-wall speakers, and the antique maps on the wall. If I’m fantasizing, I might as well go big or go home. Nice idea for a man cave....

Re: C60 MK3 black or white? (real photos anyone?)

^^^^ That is certainly better than the Trident, and looks more legible with those hands, but again just far too much white for my taste.

I’d stay clear of the white dial due to legibility personally.
I certainly prefer a strong contrast between dial and hands. Just subjectively as well, I have always thought that white hands on a white dial look pretty insipid.

Re: Wall Art for the Watch Obsessed

I prefer the gold on black versions, though I can’t really say I would be desperate to put any pictures of watch movements on my wall.

Never fear. Just keep checking the forum. You should get a voucher in the post if you are registered, but if not some kind person tends to post the codes on the forum within hours of their receipt.

Re: Is this how they get you?

That rather depends on you. If you use it because it came along at an opportune moment and you were going to buy the watch anyway, then you are in control. If you end up buying a watch you weren’t going to buy, simply because there was money off, then I would argue you are not in control. Use it if ...

Re: How Does Watch Design Compare To Toothpaste?

It depends to some extent on the criteria one uses to judge these things. Let’s look at model longevity. The company’s original watch, the C5 Malvern Mk1, was in production for seven years from June 2005 to June 2012. It is arguable that if that model had bombed, CW would not perhaps be here today, ...
