Re: January Sale 2019

I hope you don't mind me asking but what price was the 2017 FLE please? I think it was £220.50 - I looked at it myself, but then applied rule #2 and the answer was no Thanks to you and Nordwulf for your responses. My apologies to you 2 gents as I don't wish to bite the hand that feeds but I'm not s...

Re: Non-EU customers potentially now (more) liable for import duty

I've paid C$273 to DHL in taxes and their fees on the two watches bought in the sale. Last year via Canada Post I paid nothing on the last 4 watches I bought. If IRC the 5th watch came via courier and taxes and fees were paid. CBSA inspectors are looking for contraband and DHL is looking for revenu...

Re: Disapearing C60 600 GMT.

I was looking out for 43mm in Jan sale, only some 38mm showed up in the first 24 hrs to small for me . Would have gone for one otherwise. There was at least black/black and red/black 43mm's on the sale from the beginning and for few days. Though I don't recall if they were on Nearly news or in othe...

Re: January Sale 2019

At least I have good experience on order processing. Ordered yesterday evening, despatched today at noon, should be delivered end of day tomorrow. For comparison, on January 2018 sale it took 6 days to despatch and shipping took another week. Well, of course the courier has still time to drop the b...

Re: Non-EU customers potentially now (more) liable for import duty

Don't know how it's elsewhere but here's no customs duty for a watch. Just the VAT. Shipping costs are included indeed but because VAT is not collected for an item under $24 there are no duties That loophole hasn't existed before. I doubt they have created it now, and it's probably a glitch on the ...

Re: Non CW of the Day

Ordered a C7 Auto Chrono yesterday. Shipped today, delivery due end of day tomorrow. Well, quick delivery, but it seems I still needed to acquire a "waiting period watch" [emoji16] I've been interested to buy my first G-Shock for years now. Steel series only made the fever worse. I've alwa...

Re: January Sale 2019

Damn.. In that picture the watch looks better than in any picture I've been able to find online. Exactly my thoughts when I opened it mate. We shouldn't really be surprised to be honest though as every CW I have bought, admittedly only 7, has looked better 'in the flesh' than in CW's pics. Plus, mo...

Re: January Sale 2019

Lot of nearly new's added to sale There was even an old logo 43mm C60 GMT on bracelet which I was very tempted by due to my recent WTB but £609 was over what I wanted to pay and it was a 43mm. It's been snapped up pretty quickly. Yep, I was quite surprised to notice that. If that mk2 logo GMT would...

Re: January Sale 2019

Agree, tempting but can't help but feel it was overpriced. From memory this was launched at a higher rrp and then due to 'supply chain benefits' CW reduced it to £1360. Agree. Nice watch and nice price on discount, I considered it myself. But RRP of £1360 is in level of, let's say Longines with a n...
