Re: Trip through Geneva Airport
If you have use of a really good pub, then I'd recommend the Lady Godiva. English pub, proper beer, bar staff speak excellent English. They also serve really nice burgers. I've spent many evenings there after work. Forgive me if I'm missing something, but you go all the way to Switzerland to spend ...

Re: What happened to Christopher Ward?
[quote="choiman" As for the branding and name change - I really don't understand it and I am a brand consultant! I'll be honest and say the original logo wasn't great - but at least it did make sense. CHR.WARD? CHR is a word that can't be pronounced - that is a terrible mistake to include ...

BaMoWo....isn't that a Chinese company?
difficult to say, as we're so aware of how the brand has always been presented to us. perhaps yes, if their offer was just as good, and their marketing the same, why not?

Re: Chr.Ward Fall (Autumn) Magazine
Just received it today, very swish. love the jumping hour. have a chronoswiss that's somewhat similar in thought, different design. this is beautiful, though. but like the new look of the brand. suits it more. seems more elegant, and simpler simultaneously.

Wow, i havent been here for a good few days since posting originally and look at this response. So, a bit marmite then? I see. I suppose i don't really get the lack of original design, but seems that one can't fault their quality. would that be about right? Probably not my thing, but i can understan...

Re: Nomos Watches - Anyone got one or know about them?
Nomos, look, here's what i know.... there are only a few true manufacturers in the world of relatively expensive watchmaking;JLC, Rolex, Patek, Lange, Zenith and a few others, but really, not many more. Nomos is one of these few. They started after the fall of communism, and are the product of a des...

http://i1116.photobucket.com/albums/k563/scooterjer/th_001.jpg The poor picture of the clock above is a Jaeger-LeCoultre Atmos Clock circa 1972. This was bought by my best friend's father and sits serenely in their holiday home on the south coast. It runs off atmospheric pressure and needed a quali...

Re: Watch you want
I feel no need to seek acceptance from anyone or feel i have to have these things to climb any ladders. if i can have the nicer things in life then why not have them, we only live once and should make the most of it. i have no desire to be the richest stiff in the grave. if my daughter at 16 years ...

Re: Watch you want
It's a basic 7751 movement. Not particularly exciting, but it does look and act good at a decent price. I am waiting for a CWL version. There is still a shortage of nice dress watches with complications in the range, and I am waiting (patinetly) for them to be released! the issue is, that with the ...
