Re: What's your favourite "Cuisine"?

I love all kinds of food. A few spectacular dishes that come to mind are bubble and squeak in Cirencester, lobster bisque in Oslo, truffle pasta in Graz, haggis in London, truffle and parmesan fries in New York, panforte in Montecatini Terme, not mention absolutety gorgeous menues from different cou...

Re: Could you?

That’s a very good looking golden dial on that Seiko, Lindsey.

When it comes to the challenge I must decline. Like Steve/AVO I need the little pleasures choosing at will offers me. However, this kind of palate cleanser is certainly a good idea.

Re: The Best Meals of Your Life

^^^ Is the book available for purchase yet, Steve? If so, feel free to plug it here! You were kind enough to let me read an early draft, and let me just say it is a great read. Anyone who’s read your posts here know you have a way with words, and the draft I read was written by a really good author!

The restaurant has had a Michelin star for just about as long as our marriage, an...

Re: A little New Year watch fantasy

Sad news. Condolences to you and your family. Sadly it seems there are lots of people who don’t or won’t understand the gravity of the pandemic.

For me the supercompressor is the one. These are rare birds, and for CW to construct a new one is indeed special.

As I get older I enjoy the dark season less and less. There is now only six hours of daylight where I live. Which is six more hours than in Northern Norway. Can’t wait for spring to arrive ...

Agreed. For me it spoiled the ad, as I kept thinking ‘did they buy the rights to use the score, or did they outright steal the theme?’. If the latter then surely there is a case of rights infringement here?
