Re: Stella watches?
I saw some Stella Watches in the metal at the same DC Watch Show that CW attended. I was struck by the quality of them. Really nice detailing on the dials and cases. But the brand name makes me think of a certain Seinfeld episode...

Re: Watches you love but that aren't right for you
So, at some point today, I realized that the watch that fits this category the best for me right now is actually the Bel Canto. I love this watch. I love what it represents for my favorite watch brand and for its hopefully continued success, and I respect it massively as an accomplishment for the pe...

Re: Watches you love but that aren't right for you
Studio Underd0g. I’ve ordered both an 01 and 02 series and cancelled both times. I’m not sure what it is but I got that initial excitement and then reflected that they probably wouldn’t be for me. No reason, just a feeing with no justification. I’ve not even seen, held or tried one on. I'm with you...

Re: Bremont Tourbillon
Yikes! I keep hoping that Bremont will find its footing with this rebrand or whatever it is, but man, there just aren't many signs of it.

Re: Watches you love but that aren't right for you
this was on my want list for 8-9 years, finally bought one and didn't bond with it. sold it to a friend (his entry into the luxury watch world, and he's an architect who loves the bauhaus look). The Club was on my list too and many other Nomos are. So many things to like about them but other than t...

Re: CW in the context of your collection?
What a great thread with some wonderful reflections. Like many here, CW is the brand that got me started with a C5 Malvern (remember those?) purchase in 2010. All these many years later, CW is the most represented brand in my collection at 4 out of 16. That status is unlikely to change unless I some...

Re: Divers in the context of your collection?
I thought that my collection would be half divers, but when I went to count, I realized that many of them don't meet the bezel criterion. So, instead I come in at 5 out of 16: Tudor Pelagos Bremont Supermarine Sinn EZM 13 Sinn 103 SAB LE CWL Super Compressor Even this is a bit misleading. I wouldn't...

Re: Watches you love but that aren't right for you
Maybe with Rolex there might be a feeling of the lost flipping potential. Not in the least. It would have been a special purchase to mark a special occasion. I’ve never thought that way about any watches. Don’t have a mercenary bone in my body (perhaps unfortunately). Rolex does seem to engender a ...

Re: Watches you love but that aren't right for you
Many IWC Pilots fit in this category for me as many of them are too big for my spindly wrist. I also love all of the over the top perpetual calendars that come in the Pilot line, but I'd never buy one.

Thanks to each and every one of you!
Sadly, with my wife visiting family, I didn’t do much to celebrate. Hopefully something fun this weekend.

It took 15 years, but I’ve finally checked the Rolex-shaped box.
