Re: Tribus Watches

It's a shame that they have launched without a single photograph of a single one of their watches (unless I couldn't find it underneath all of the marketing hyperbole they seemed so keen to downplay!). I couldn't even find a photo of one of the owners wearing a watch. Pixel perfect 3D renders can al...

Re: I’m confused

Is it blue sapphire or clear sapphire with a piece of blue plastic over as stated in loupe. Surely this is misleading F3E571AC-567B-420B-BD44-4A6E9F591C37.jpeg You have your answer, right there from Kip. Don't be confused, the website description is completely wrong and classes as misrepresentation...

Re: CW's first TV Advert

A few points: They used a motion control rig to move the watch, a very complex and expensive bit of kit. I have known people to spend days (and nights) perfecting moves and lighting. Anyone can buy FCP, not everyone can use it as the professional tool it is, not that I know what post production kit...

Re: CW's first TV Advert

I've read the CWorld Blog and as per usual Mike France paints a very noble and rosy picture of their actions - the advert (in this digital age) could have easily been made by a teenager using a decent camera with a dedicated macro lens, a small rotating platform / turntable, Final Cut Pro and an App...

An amazing collection, never seen anything like it in my life!! More watches than most branches of Ernest Jones

Love it.

Where's the C40 though....

Re: C60 Sapphire - New Release

Quite why these can't be aligned with each other is another story (if the male and female parts of the screw thread are the same as each other, then that should be it, surely?). After all, on the CW TV Advert, it does make a very strong point that the sapphire is PRECISELY machined to within .6mm of...

Re: CW's first TV Advert

The 1960s middle England voice over is at odds with what i thought the brand wanted to be. Either way, the voice over sounds arrogant and is disconnected from this day and age for me I agree completely - and it's as if they haven't watched the advert through as the potential customer (who doesn't k...

Re: Unique Daily Special - Forum Exclusive

Now that IS nice, well done for getting it - that's a very special watch.

The C11 on PVD/DLC is a menacing (but beautiful looking) combination.

Re: Daily specials to beat the sales peaks!

...Other sites (e.g. this forum, Omega, Watchfinder, Farer) fire up straight away. EDIT - I wanted to have a look at the C65 SH21 Blue and it didn't show the watch details after over 90 seconds, at which time I gave up. In comparison Omega will take you from first search input, through Home page an...

Re: Daily specials to beat the sales peaks!

Remember the Fast Show - they had a character called Swiss Tony - a used car salesman. Tenuous I know, but Mike France' middle name is Anthony and he has connections with Switzerland. https://www.thetimes.co.uk/imageserver/image/%2Fmethode%2Ftimes%2Fprodmigration%2Fweb%2Fbin%2Fba499d7b-8c5e-3...

Re: Daily specials to beat the sales peaks!

This sounds to me like another sales tactic from the king salesman Mike France, to get people on the website. Car dealers do it all the time, promise of massive savings to get people in the showroom, only to find that those savings are no longer available (or apply to something that you were never i...

Re: A Lasting Legacy - Important News from Christopher Ward

A turnover of £200 million in the future? - so somewhere in the region of 15- 20 times the current level of sales (if we take the oft quoted number of 20,000 pa and assume an average price of around £600 per watch). This time next year Rodney we'll be millionaire's!! 8) Cheers, Paul Yes, a lot of s...

Re: Tritech C600 IPK

Probably one of the nicest watches they ever did. I had one, sold it, regretted it - a familiar story with me!

Enjoy it, Christopher Ward won't make another one quite so 'unassuming' and utilitarian, it's all disruptive and uninspired nonsense these days.

Re: Steinhart .. they ship quickly :)

I have one of these myself, prefer it on a leather or canvas strap. Really recommended if you like the style, about half the cost of the equivalent Christopher Ward watch! ETA movement in there as well. The face is a very dark grey (black in some lights), and the vintage lume is a lovely tan/brown t...

Re: My C65 Trident GMT isn't waterproof!

CW doesn't have to so anything for free because the warranty is on the movement only. And clearly, this is not a movement issue and any other parts of the watch do not have a warranty at all. They may not have a warranty on the casing (which is bizarre to the extreme), but they do have to be fit fo...
