Re: Coronavirus Weekly Check-In Thread - March 21

Great idea Chris. We had a spring clean and stock check of our food cupboards yesterday, followed by a trip to the shops to grab some essentials. My partner is an English teacher and is on a rota to go in to school for one day a week, starting next week. I’ll drive her there and pick her up rather t...

Re: Anybody wear a watch and a fitness tracker band?

I wear a mechanical on my left wrist and a generation 1, 39mm Apple Watch on my right wrist. It no longer feels strange but I do get some odd looks although I put those down to the baby blue strap on the Apple Watch.

Outstanding! I’ve followed this thread from the first post and it is splendid to read how it all turned out.

I like the 037 a lot. But then I am looking at the Alain Silberstein range again.

I don’t think you like green or white dials, so neither are suitable for you.

Re: A Lasting Legacy - Important News from Christopher Ward

I wish Chris all the best in his future endeavours. His personal response to my email, enquiring about the qualities of the original C60 Trident, heightened my interest in the CWL brand, in addition to convincing me to make the purchase.

Re: FLE #8 Design Vote

Numbers 9, 22 and 30 are different enough to have a last throw of the dice with one final vote. Like Macdaz above, I have no interest but can recognise the work that has gone into this FLE. It would be a shame to see it go to waste.

Re: C65 Anthropocene Limited Edition

^^^ out of interest, in what respect do they not match? The handset has a lovely inky blackness, setting them off perfectly against the white dial. The indices look more like plain steel, albeit I’m happy to take people’s words at face value and accept they may be black. The photographs don’t show ...

Re: C65 Anthropocene Limited Edition

Every one of the photographs a couple of posts above this one shows indices and hands as mismatched. The most successful white dialled watch I’ve lusted after, in all of it’s iterations, is the Rolex Explorer and I don’t think I’ve ever seen hands and indices appearing anything other than matched, i...

Re: C65 Anthropocene Limited Edition

It's a lazy use of some standard parts and some new that let this piece down. The white dial and black handset are great but the mismatched indices make it less successful.

Re: C65 Anthropocene Limited Edition

The piece contains some interesting details, including the black date wheel but the thing that would really rankle, like the C10 FLE, is the mismatched hands and markers.

It looks like the C65, with silver markers and hands, rendering it a near hit.
