Looking like (at the moment), that the Newmark might not reach goal.
3 weeks to go and 2/3 of the way to the goal. I think it's a little early to declare the patient dead.

Re: Don't Mention The War........

I'm glad the mods appreciated the spirit of the thread. I am, however, somewhat concerned that 2 members felt so threatened by a discussion of a kitchen tool that they felt the need to complain to the mods about it. I doubt either of them are willing to come forward, but I'd be interested in hearing...

Re: Chrono Misalignment Help!

Glad you got this fixed, but sorry you had to rely on the forum to do so. Of course, good customer service would have been to help by instructing you on how to do it, rather than telling you to read the (non-existent) manual page. If it's any consolation, I have only had to do this infrequently with...

Re: Don't Mention The War........

An incomplete list of things I have seen used as weapons during my career, and which should no longer be discussed on the forum as they fall under rules 1.4: baseball bats cricket bats hammers screwdrivers drinking glasses bottles rings ropes clothing drawstrings tables plates pottery hands arms leg...

Re: Professional, Executive, Luxury, Exclusive...

I think that when it comes to true luxury or professional products, they are able to stand on their own without needing a marketing term attached to them. I know that a Montblanc fountain pen is a luxury item. It doesn't need to be marketed as a Montblanc luxury pen. I work with a wide variety of me...

Re: repair info

Along with the other CS issues that are being brought up recently, this seems to be a disturbing trend. There are 3 recent posts where customers have been initially charged for what should be warranty work, or overcharged for service work. After being questioned, the price has either been lowered, o...

Re: CW Customer Service - Time to give Up

I know that continuing to bash the customer service at Fawlty Towers is flogging a dead horse, but I'm gonna flog. I received a coupon code today for US$125 off and purchase of US$625. Nice, except I'm in Canada, and CW have a Canadian website that sells in Canadian Dollars. Combined with the fact t...

Re: Newmark 71 Sports diver

If the offers fails to mention additional costs due to import duties etc then wouldn't this constitute breach of contract with regards to the offer price and therefore grounds for refusing to accept the goods and refuse payment? The info gives a price with delivery free. Delivery is free. Duties an...

Re: Service cost and what is involved in a CW service

It sounds like they will only do a battery change along with a quartz service. If this is the case I'd love to hear the justification. I've never seen any watchmaker recommend a service with every battery change. My C7 IRR Cosc is in now for a battery change £20 no mention of a service. So they do ...

Re: CW Customer Service - Time to give Up

Funnily enough they're very quick to reply to their trust pilot reviews. https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/www.christopherward.co.uk?languages=en&stars=1 Even stranger, as per the top Trustpilot review, they are once again shipping internationally via Royal Mail. As per the website, even express int...

Re: CW Customer Service - Time to give Up

Wait a minute. Katrina just told a customer that it was up to them to find another customer service agent to take over his case? WTAF? After all the negative things we have heard about customer service recently, this might actually be the worst one. Imagine going to a restaurant and halfway through ...

Re: Service cost and what is involved in a CW service

Why is CW unwilling to provide prices for movement servicing? Rolex, Swatch, even Lange publish service price lists. Being secretive and only providing them after receiving the watch is how one member ended up being overcharged for a basic service. It also makes it appear like they are hiding someth...

Re: Advice for someone with a 6.5 inch / 165 mm wrist

Welcome to the forum dyhan. You should have no problem with the bracelet fitting you. I don't know if the standard strap would fit or be a bit too long. If it does fit, you will probably be on the last hole, with a long tail. If you order the C60 with a strap, plan on buying a shorter strap for your...

Re: Newmark 71 Sports diver

It's a great looking watch. Right now it's threatening to kick the 40mm Divers 65 off the top of my 'affordables' list. I really like his approach to the KS campaign. Lots of transparency, no ridiculous inflated retail prices or silly stretch goals that should have been included in the first place. ...

Re: Bad experience with Christopher ward watch and it's customer services

A mistake would have been nice but Vallen is sticking to £150 for a quartz service and battery change says the prices went up 6months ago. Give it another 6 months and it will be cheaper to replace a watch than have it serviced. I wonder what the justification is for charging the same for a quartz ...
