Re: Bremont- what’s the appeal?

As a female with small wrists, the only Bremont I really like (and have) is the 37mm Solo with the steel case + rose gold hands and indices. Not the all white one and not the one with the rose gold bezel (don't like the look of that bezel). Their women's watches are so blah. As for their men's watch...

Re: Gold case / black dial dress watch. Any ideas?

It’s a watch worth owning just to gaze at from time to time :D LOL! Agreed. I thank my lucky stars I spotted it yonks ago. Saw that Bjorn had also bought a Polerouter from the same merchant and left a good review. So I PM'd Bjorn immediately to confirm the legit-ness of the seller, got his opinion ...

Re: Gold case / black dial dress watch. Any ideas?

Hi missF! To be honest I'm having less opportunity to wear watches as I'm often working from home nowadays and not going out as much. Love this watch to bits but not much chance to wear it.

Really hope the covid situation improves by year end.

The gold and black-dialed Universal Geneve Polerouter?

Mine was at the extreme limit of your budget though that was years ago.

Re: Christopher Ward C65 Super Compressor Review

Excellent review! Bravo.

I think the blue version may pop more on steel bracelet but on strap, the brown on orange strap seems to make more sense aesthetically than blue on the turquoise strap.

But that's a very subjective view of course, and I've not seen the watch in real life.

Re: 18mm on a 19mm lug width

The CW Matisse has a 19mm lug width. The stingray strap that came with it was stiff and wasn't comfortable on its butterfly clasp. I checked out Watch Band Centre as they have a huge range of straps, even in unusual widths, and got myself a Di-Modell sharkskin strap. You can search for straps by wid...

Re: C60 Blue Limited Edition

I'm pleasantly surprised by how tastefully all the elements hang together on this watch. The waves on the dial make it much nicer than the C60 Sapphire. I didn't really like the nakedness of the unfinished movement showing through the Sapphire dial. In contrast, the waves in BLUE hide some of that u...

Re: Vintage watch of the day (30 years+)

Wearing this today. It's on a bright blue tejus strap, and I'm using a CW Bader clasp on it (from when CW still made clasps for 18mm straps).

Re: Is it good to be square.

Vintage watches, e.g. from Longines, Hamilton or Gruen? There are quite a few "vertically long rectangle" styles that won't look too small on a men's wrist. This is my Gruen Curvex (old pic) though it will look a little shorter on a male wrist. On mine, it stretches across the whole length...

Re: C65 Chronograph - New Release October '20

The Super Compressor is still more interesting to me, due to the design, size, lower height, "fun-ness" level. Continuing to keep an eye on it. This chronograph is too busy and thick for me. I still have my one and only manual chrono (7750) in the Damasko DC56 and I like it a lot, but one ...

I want a t-shirt with that cover....

CW should look into that. I'm not into the watch but I'd get the shirt or some merch with those designs!

Re: Tribus Watches

May not be an oversight, though. CWL are still using his name on their watches. I'm sure there is some agreement between them, but why should we be privy to it?

I recommended a BB36 (normal black dial) not knowing he has the BB58 in blue already.

Re: CWL of the day

Looks rather good on the mesh. Shortly after I got my FLE I did a thread with a few different strap options, that were different to the CW options available with the watch. https://www.christopherwardforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=53&t=34567&p=500682#p500682 Neil I continue to enjoy th...
