Re: Interview with new Bremont CEO

I'm surprised they want to have a lower-priced entry level watch model, when they've already positioned themselves as being makers of kind-of high end robust sports/military-themed watches.

Not sure if that will help or disrupt their image.

Re: Pre-Owned etiquette and practice

I'm surprised sellers don't at least give their watches a good wipe, since surely a nice clean watch will look better in pictures and hopefully attract better prices. Anyway, if the strap is the original, it should be sold with the watch even if it's ratty and worn out. Whether or not the buyer uses...

Re: C63 Celest

After years of the slimmer-wristed complaining about the large sizes of CW cases (eg C9, C8, old C60 - all 43mm, maybe the C8 was even 44mm?), the tables have turned.....

Re: Vintage watch of the day (30 years+)

Haven't posted a watch pic for months, and this is unfortunately not a great one taken under dim yellowish light this evening:

My Eterna Centenaire with blue tejus strap on Bader clasp - even in the poorly taken pic, the dial is so pretty.

Re: WristCheck - Stif's mobile watchbox app project - Now live on iOS and Android!

..... from my point of view it's already a huge success as people are actually using it! Genuinely blows me away! @asqwerth someone else dropped me a note about the labels earlier too - I've been looking at a quick fix by making the labels black text if you're using the light theme, which seems to ...

Oh yes, the screenshot function on the bar chart page does capture my whole long chart; I cropped it for the purposes of my post above.

My phone - pretty old Motorola G6+.

...asqwerth - you'll be pleased to hear that I have finally fixed the issue where big charts hid data labels! In the final version, if the data results are more than 15 records long, they expand the screen enough to maintain roughly the same bar height (only if you're in bar-chart mode - the pie ch...

Re: New moon phase watch

I said it's "dressy" not that the C1 moonphase is a dress watch.

I mean, it's shiny and glittery and pretty, after all.

Re: New moon phase watch

From some of the comments here (and maybe in the other moonphase thread), it seems to me that:
1. many who like dressy watches would prefer it smaller;
2. those who prefer bigger watches don't want such a dressy watch.

I suspect it is, in the same way the bremont movement is an improved/tweaked horage movement. There's some borrowed /shared IP going on, methinks.

Re: New Moonphase - Beautiful but...

I agree with CW's reasoning that if they are going to do a moonphase, they might as well do it differently, with their JJ04 module and the large moon disc CW will definitely want to stand out from the crowd with their moonphase. In some respects it does and in some respects it doesn't. There are ma...
