Re: Just Arrived - NOMOS Autobahn Director's Cut A9

Great post, and cool watch! [speaking as a Nomos fan!] I receive email from Nomos and saw this edition quite some time ago. Thought they were cool but too big for me. It has their cool in-house DUW slim auto movement, so well-done! Bracelet = very retro. Reminds me of the fixed-curve steel bracelet ...

Re: CW seconde/seconde/ collaboration

It's too quirky/gimmicky, in my opinion. I wonder how large of a market there can be for something like this. Probably will only sell in small numbers.

Re: Stella watches?

Not impressed with: - the casual font of the logo - the lack of fitted end links for their bracelet. Except for mesh bracelets, or where the case edge between the lugs is straight/flat across, I don't think such bracelets work. - overall busyness of the whole face of the watch. Individually, the tex...

@Stif

I'm quite happy with the app as it currently stands, so take a breather after your busy period. No worries.

Re: C60 Trident Lumiere

It's not for me [I've been done with Tridents for ages!], but I do think the dial, marker and hand design has a certain pared-down, cool aesthetic. On another note, there is a typo on this page: https://www.christopherward.com/int/trident-lumiere-landing-page.html Here it says the power reserve of t...

Re: Non CW of the Day

My old Tetra2 Tausendschon with power reserve. Testing it on a light blue strap [looks a lighter blue in real life], the inspiration being a few of the colour combos in the Tangente 38 models. https://i.imgur.com/1hZmz0h.jpeg https://imgur.com/1hZmz0h Mainly the Ziegelblau model: https://cdn.nomos-g...

My mum has never commented on my watches but she noticed my Twelve Ti 36 and said she really liked the blue dial.

Best to do so, since the most you can say is: nice, interesting, not for me, take my money, thank you CW and mods, etc.

No hints on what it is, what it looks like are allowed.

I will just add that I was on a desktop PC that has no camera or microphone. Worked just fine for me, since I wasn't going to speak or turn on the camera.

My Ti36 bracelet is still fine after a few weeks of wear, for what it's worth.

Re: In Defense of the Professional Tool Watch

Are drilled lugs really a tool watch thing? My Nomos Tetra and Orion (and I'm guessing most other Nomos models) have drilled lugs and they are among my most dressy/elegant watches. Ditto my Bulova23 vintage watch, which is a dress watch that comes in many different fancy case, lug and dial marker sh...

Re: CWL of the day

I give up. I just can't take a photo that captures the sea-blue of the Twelve Lagoon Blue's dial. It just looks straightahead blue in the photos with no hint of green!
