Re: Battery replacement - C6 Kingfisher & C5 MK2.

I admit to putting off doing my C3. It's a proper fiddlun.

Re: Little Black Dress (I mean - DIVER)!

As a fan of a proper LBD, I think the straps have to be right. I mean; so many of these have tarty chain straps.

An LBD needs proper black fitted strap. This Mk1 is a classic (I don't own it any more, but wish I did as it's an iconic CW)

Re: No Bader on bronze Aquitaine

I love bracelets, and I love my bronze C60. BUT I'm not at all sure that a bronze bracelet is something I could take the weight of!

Re: D. Dornblüth & Sohn - bespoke watch

I have lusted after a Dornblüth & Sohn for several years. Unless something dramatic happens soon; I'll never have one. However, thank you so much for sharing yours, it's probably the piece I covert most out of all those I've seen on the forum.

Re: Ten years a forumite…

Ah! The class of 2013! An excellent vintage Paul. At one stage I remember meeting a chap at a 2015 event, who bought a one off prototype Trident Pro 600, with a white ceramic bezel. Neil The Forum Get Togethers were great fun. Following the realisation that I wasn't really a collector, selling off ...

Posting a gift to Canada

I'm sure there's someone on here who knows how to do this... I'm sending an electronic circuit board to my Brother in Canada as a gift. (it's a DSP unit if you're interested) The value is £125.00 Whilst not trying to evade any Canadian taxes, I really don't want my Brother to have to pay a 'handling...

I had a JLC 6B/159 that I hand wound every morning. Nothing broke until I sold it 50 years later.

Re: Car Troubles

From Google.... You must also have insurance if you leave it parked on the street, on your driveway or in your garage . The police can check on the spot if your vehicle is insured using the Motor Insurance Database. If it isn't they can seize it immediately, even if you then arrange insurance at th...

Re: Future CW classics

I absolutely think that this, the watch that launched CW is ripe for a re-intro. possibly with modern case, but most definitely keep the original layered and machined dial. Just replace the original logo & writing with the twin flag. c5of the day.jpg And this is a true gem from the archive. I do...

I'm sure it's an easier way to keep it clean, but I'm not that much into shiny cars! Snow foam and an occasional polish is as far as it gets.
