Re: New Bezel for a C60 Trident GMT Auto

Oh dear, these speed posters !

CW will advise, but even if they do have the correct replacement, they won't supply it, only fit it as an in house repair.

Re: Help Requested - Selling Advice

You will be selling a used watch, so how you bought it is not relevant.

Re: Is the 8-10 week wait for CW servicing really that bad?

When I worked in insurance, one of our customers rang to insure a new watch - I think it was an IWC. During the course of the conversation, he let out that he was buying it as his Patek was going in for its first 3 year service, and the quoted time was 6 months.

Re: The Practice of Selling NN as Brand New.

I entirely agree, once the 60/60 is counting down, the watch is no longer brand new. Perhaps if there was a concerted run of complaints about 'new' CW listings, pointing out that the only sellers of New CWs is CW themselves, and showing that the warranty is already running, may encourage ebay to rem...

Re: Vintage Oak Strap Cleaning

+1 for gliptone - I've used on cars for years. For the inside of the strap, you may need to remove sweaty marks with IPA first.

IPA - Iso Propyl Alcahol not India Pale Ale.

Re: The search for a strap for my C60 bronze.

OK, I've changed again. The previous ebay strap was rubbish. It has gone really dark and greasy in just a few months. Also I think it was a thin leather skin on some sort of backing. I'll take a knife to it later. I have now bought a suede strap and a distressed leather from Watch Gegko. Here's the ...

Re: Not Happy with CW customer service

I can understand your frustration. It's annoying for you that the email you sent Friday hadn't been read and acted on by midday on the next working day, thus letting the order ship before reading your cancellation.

If you don't like the stuff, just use 60/60 free return for full refund.

Re: Wouldn't it be nice if...

I did this some years ago with a Trident Mk2 GMT white face red bezel. (now really sort after!)

I got no takers at the original price, so made a profit on eBay.

Oh and I bought my SH21 small seconds this way - can't remember who from, but thank you again!

Re: Forcing Patina on C60 Bronze

Why force the patina at all? It never looks as good as a naturally aged watch where the piece shows variations according to natural rubbing.
