Re: The Eagle Has Landed
Ever since these came out I’ve heard bad things about the strap. It’s very stiff, feels cheap. I don’t mind how it looks but it’s too long for my wrist so it’s permanently relegated to the strap box.Southfrance wrote: ↑Fri Dec 08, 2023 11:24 am Strap change makes such a difference , looks way better than the velcro job.

Re: Strap of the Day
New in today, this haul from CNS’s Black Friday sale. I’m loving the racing strap on the speedy.
I ordered a couple straps from Martu in September. Still waiting on those

^^^ Thanks John! The decision is official. Mercury it is.
The strap isn’t great and it’s too long on me, so I popped it on an EO for now.

Happy holidays and safe travels! It's crazy how this time of year is supposedly the happiest, yet I'm always the most burned out? Seems a common theme.Amor Vincit Omnia wrote: ↑Thu Dec 07, 2023 5:40 pm @ajax87 My next landing site is Paphos Airport - can't come soon enough (20th Dec).

@exHowfener Exactly. It's a fun quartz watch, great looking in my opinion and worth pretty much what I paid (retail). I would not pay exorbitant aftermarket prices for it and was happy to wait well over a year to find one in-store. I have 2 Speedmasters already, though not the professional.

I suspect iain is getting close to the truth with the recent comments. We are all commenting as armchair experts here (look up the Dunning-Kruger effect; we are all likely in the highest ignorance regarding this subject  ). nbg Also hit a good point. Your watch has been serviced by CW and they ...

That's pretty cool! And I agree that caseback is niiiiiiiice.
@strapline, I understand your personal WR preference, but 50m WR is plenty when all the water around you is completely frozen!

The Eagle Has Landed
I’ve been wanting one of these since they came out! My wife travelled to Philadelphia this week for work and managed to make her way to the Swatch store there (she is the best!) to grab me a MoonSwatch. They had everything but Neptune. She picked up 2. One is a gift for my brother in law. They would...

Re: WR testing by CW after repair/service
Was that 300m or 30m? Watches with 30m are not recommended to go near water!!! It was tested to 30bar, 30atm, 300m. Was that from CW? I wouldn't be concerned if mine had been tested to 300m as that would be more than sufficient for most people but CW say they only test to 30m which means it's safe ...

Re: Thoroughly exceeded expectations
I had two new in this year (and one surprise incoming today… Watch this space :D ). The C63 elite met my very high expectations for it and I’m still very pleased with it. It’s the Tudor that blew me away. I’d never really given Tudor the time of day before. I didn’t like the snowflake hands. I wasn...
