Re: Day Date watches

Picture from eBay, but it seems to meet most of the criteria?

Citizen NY0040...full lume dial.

Will only be available used now, I think.

Re: Day Date watches

^^^^ Thanks. I was just looking at the Damasko DA37, which is gorgeous, but I’m keen on good legibility too. @Richard - I think you had a DA20 for a while - the day-date looks a bit small - how was it for legibility? Cheers I still have the DA20, Lindsey - although it spent some time on secondment ...

Re: Day Date watches

Have you considered Damasko? I like the way they have implemented the day/date - slightly off-centre.

Thank you,

Leon

If you select a specific watch (strap/colour combo) on the CW site, you will see the detailed specs.

Experimenting with straps for the C5 Aviator.

This one is a Hirsch Medici curve end strap. Not the easiest to fit but very comfortable...

My go-to quartz watch is this Citizen Satellite Wave: https://i.postimg.cc/PqyFfZhM/IMG-4913.jpg According to Citizen... In 2011, Citizen invented a unique technology: Satellite Wave. It enables watches to receive time signals from orbiting GPS satellites to display precise time and date. Citizen Sa...

Another vote for the Planet Ocean Liquid Metal LE. My favourite watch and my favourite dial. The combination of ceramic dial, raised numerals and complex markers makes me smile even after nine years of ownership. https://i.postimg.cc/KvSxLr7c/IMG-3389x.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/zDRqVPgP/IMG-5861-2.jp...

Re: Laptop etc. Recommendations please?

I don't think the two operating systems are mutually exclusive, so it's not really necessary to go full-on Apple or vice-versa. For myself I use an iPhone (a 7 that does everything I need and is a good size), an iPad and a couple of Windows 10 laptops. I share one calendar (iCloud) across all device...

Re: Post a picture from your latest ride

It’s a good looking bike for sure, albeit I don’t know much about them. Better hang on to all your old toothbrushes going forward for cleaning all the nooks and crannies on that lovely chrome/engine! If I ever get to toothbrush level bike cleaning, I think it will be time to change something! :o

Re: Post a picture from your latest ride

Lovely bike Richard. Love the private plate too. Thanks. I'm not really a "private plate" kind of bloke (or at least I didn't think I was), but I got this one a while ago for a vehicle I owned that had a crap reg plate. It was on retention so I thought I'd make use of it. I also like the fact that ...
