Re: What did you have to put on hold?

I was 90% through my IAM motorcycle observer training and was due to be let loose with my first live observation one week after lock down started. So, having spent most of the winter doing the training, after a couple of months break I’ve now become pretty rusty. However, my course recommences on Su...

Re: Your 2893-2 / SW330 experiences

I’ve had a few of these GMT’s over the years and not had any issues.

That’s not to say it doesn’t happen - because I’ve seen them on here and elsewhere.

Personally I would not let it put me off buying one.

Re: Post a picture from your latest ride

I understand that on a CBT you can ride an electric bike up to 125cc (11kw max). That equates to 14.8 hp. The initial acceleration is apparently quite quick as you so rightly surmise. I have seen motobob's review. Your other selections are nice bikes but not really for me. I went for The Monkey bec...

Re: Post a picture from your latest ride

^^^ Just watched MOTOBOB's review. Looks a lot of fun. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ddoOwklnc_M I also like the look of the Fantic Caballero 125 scrambler or Flat Tracker: https://images.medialinksonline.com/imagestream/284292/2350315x1024x600_FFFFFF_E.jpg https://images.medialinksonline.com/imag...

Re: Post a picture from your latest ride

Churlish indeed. How do the current licence rules apply to electric bikes concerning power/cc etc? I assume each electric bike is 'rated' at an equivalent CC/KW to determine which licence is required?

I understand the initial acceleration on electric bikes is a bit special...

Re: Post a picture from your latest ride

Beautiful sky. What sort of distance do you cover on one of your days out? Mine seem to be in the range of 60 - 100 miles. If you were offered the gift of a new highly specced motorbike or high end watch which would you take? The only proviso is that you were not allowed to profit in the future by ...

Re: Post a picture from your latest ride

Resuming my IAM Observer training next week so I spent some time refreshing my memory one of the routes on the GS. It passes through some rather nice parkland in Cheshire:

Post a picture from your latest ride

Nice pics, scooter. I'd like to get to see the sea asap although the interesting coastline that is near to me is mostly in Wales - so it's out of bounds for now.

Yes, not the best road - but fine for pottering along waiting for the sheep to move.
