Re: HOW MUCH!!?? (service shock)...
" It was the chrono that wasn't running. " I got that. It's a broken watch. It needs fixing not just servicing . If I bring my car to the garage for an oil change and a tyre rotation I pay x. If I also need new ball joints and a hole in the exhaust welded I may have to pay 2 or 3x. You ma...

Re: HOW MUCH!!?? (service shock)...
It's not just a service innit. It's not a running watch sent in for some fresh oil and a demagnesation. It's a broken watch sent in for repair. UKP 550 doesn't sound unreasonable Err, actually it was running watch and keeping good time thanks... It was the chrono that wasn't running. Having had cou...

Re: HOW MUCH!!?? (service shock)...
Yes, it seems it was more of Customer Services setting unrealistic expectations... Although I told Customer services exactly what watch it was they quoted £180 which they shouldn't have and which, of course set expectations. I reasoned that if the service was £180 (which I thought was very reasonabl...

HOW MUCH!!?? (service shock)...
Just sent my approx 5 year old C60 Pro Chrono (The Beast) for a service as the chrono refuses to run. I also asked for a new crystal to be fitted as it had a tiny chip in it. Katie from customer services indicated that the service on this model would be around £180. So, I was more than a bit shocked...

Re: Slow Delivery
You have a point. Not so much Amazon as some other watch sellers. Wos, sellors, even Goldsmiths seem to keep up with demand during sales etc.

Slow Delivery
I'm used to buying online and seeing item out for next day delivery.
I'm surprised at how slow CW are in expediting their orders. Surely they can't be that busy, and if they are then get more staff...

Re: CW brand name on dial
There must be another respected watch maker that doesn't put their name on the dial but I can't think of one. Anyone?? Some H. Moser come without the name on the dial. Others in the collection have a ‘ghost’ image of the name. A lot of military issued watches came without names on dials. But that a...

Re: CW brand name on dial
There must be another respected watch maker that doesn't put their name on the dial but I can't think of one. Anyone?? I'm wearing a Zelos Mako today and that doesn't have the name on the dial, just the logo. Whether that counts as a "respected watch maker", I'll leave you to decide. :) M...

Re: Super Compressor and Swimming
Let's remember the 150 meter water resistance is an objective measure, not a sales gimmick. These things were designed, tested and used originally as dive watches in pressure conditions that would destroy ordinary sealed watches. The approach in a compressor watch is to let the water pressure squee...

Super Compressor and Swimming
I must admit that even though it states 150m on the dial I worry at how wr it can be with the 2nd crown and internal bezel. Anyone tried it under water yet??
