Observations on the CWL womens choices

Post by st-rider »

The better half has noticed the sale has now gone to a clearance.
Yet there are no other womens watches!
Her comment is that if you move stuff to a clearance you should have its replacement stock already on show.
Also there should be actual dates, not just a coming soon.
She's talking from the experience gained by a seasoned shopper here so I defer to her on this.

I did notice it does say the Autumn collection is coming soon.
So traditionally Autumn is here on 1st September or the end of Autumn at then end of November.
So that's nearly 2 months without any ladies watches, maybe 5 :o Can't be right can it? :?

I'm sure it'll be sorted for the Christmas rush :D

As has been said many times.....

The Ladies collection will be introduced with the Autumn Catalog. This should be out by mid September.

The whole collection has been kept tightly under wraps. I haven't even seen a photo yet! As far as I know nothing has left the CWL offices to date. This has been a carefully planned and complete makeover for the ladies so everything will be a surprise.

If we do get any previews they will be posted immediately..I promise. :)

I think the comments were a surprise that a company risks a very limited stock and no new products for 2 months.
She wondered if people browsing the site would bother to go back or just decide to buy elsewhere in the meantime.

Agreed, but it is difficult to time the inventory reduction. That, plus the July sale was the best time to make space for the complete new line incoming.

Also considering that the ladies watches, up to now, have really been a small part of the sales volume. CWL is hoping the new line will change that.

I've lost some of my enthusiasm since the online interview with CWL seemed to indicate that there wouldn't be any mechanical movements in the ladies' collection at all.

We'll see.
