New Timex Marlin retro sub-dial

Post by mvlow »

I haven't purchased a new Timex in probably 40 years, but this new retro sub-dial release is a great looking fun watch for only $269. The specs are what you would expect for an inexpensive watch, with mineral crystal etc. but It's hard to see how you can go wrong for that price. It's even got an automatic movement.

I feel like Timex have come into their own again with their vintage re-dos. I think they’re very cool.

I agree. This has a definite 60's vibe and checks a lot of boxes. It's a flexible size at 39mm and only 9mm thick. A 20mm lug width for easy strap changes is a bonus. The provided strap even has quick change spring bars.

I do like the 'Marlin' line that Timex are producing, nice price point for an automatic and a well known brand. I find them easy on the eye too.

The Marlin, Q and Waterbury lines from Timex are well designed watches at a great price point. The Q chrono is one of my favourite designs of the last year.
