C7 Rapide Limited Edition - Repair

Post by PhilRUK »

Hi,

Wondering if anyone could shed some light on what repairs roughly cost done by CW please.

The strap pin broke and it fell off my wrist onto the floor causing two of the hands for the chronograph come off. They are now floating around on the watch face. I have attached a picture for reference.

Thanks in advance

Phil

I would just pop and see a local watch repairer....had the same happen to me a few years back, all be it on a less expensive watch, they replaced the hands for a very reasonable fee

The days of cheap CW repair costs have long gone. My friend found that his C60 #tide sapphire dial had shatter. It’s a mystery because it wasn’t dropped. The case has no marks that would indicate otherwise. The cost for the repair are:

Dial C60MK3 Tide,sapphire+blue plastic/SLN X1 BL C1,SW200,wh
CAD CWC60-42ADA3-SB1
£133.90
and
Part repair
REP CWC0001
£48.00

Total: £181.90 inc VAT.

I have long suspected that there is a design fault, for the dial to shatter it would had to have sustained a heavy blow.

I’d have a local jeweler do the work as it would be cheaper and faster.
