I was in Dallas, TX for work this past week. It was a good trip. I got to indulge in one of the great American gluttonies: Texas BBQ! Definitely noticeably better than the usual East Coast stuff.
But the reason my story makes the Asylum is because of the watches I had on my trip. When I go somewhere, I usually bring two watches with me just so I can have some variety while I'm away from my collection. It's been a long time since I've selected a CW for one of these trips, and this time, CW got both slots with my C65 Super Compressor and C63 Sealander. I enjoyed wearing both immensely, particularly the Sealander which is just an incredible little watch. I definitely found myself gazing at my wrist during boring work meetings! No unsolicited compliments or anything, but it doesn't matter. I was super pleased with myself!
It's great that CW continues to impress me with great ~$1,000 offerings 12 years into this hobby where I have steadily moved up market with the rest of my collection. Really just top notch stuff!

Re: CW and My Trip to Dallas
A week with only two watches?
With the video of the burning Hindenburg playing in my mind....."oh, the humanity!"
Seriously though: yep, CW cuts it. Whilst these days I have fancier toys in the shed, I wear my both CWs to work each week and without fail I look and think what a privilege it is to have robust, practical pieces like these that are really so fine.

Assess my need... *takes a deep breath and considers*
My need is to have 14 wrists so I can wear my entire collection at once! There, how did I do?

And no unsolicited "Buddy are you with us? " (He's looking at his danged watch again) questions? That's definitely a result.

Re: CW and My Trip to Dallas
Not well, I’m afraid.
The correct answer is: n=w-1 (where n=number of watches needed and w=number of wrists possessed by the party of the first part).
Apotheosis and extensive prosthetic surgery were not on the list of options.

Last time I was in Dallas, I was sporting the original C5. I work in the company of well travelled people. If you ask any of us what our favourite city in the US is, the Big D is the usual reply. In spite of the blistering heat, freezing rain and tornados.
Beat up vintage Swatch Irony, C5 Malvern (the original), Swiss Military Swiss Soldier Quartz, Seagull 1963, Swatch Blurang Automatic, Swatch Cafe de Flore, Sealander GMT, Trident Pro 600, Fitbit Charge 5. Festina 8810, Addiesdive AD2113 knock off.
