£500 is rather pricy isn't it?

Do you mean just at CW or more widely? brass and bronze watches have been around for quite some time. Personally I've never wanted to keep a watch in either material in its "bright state" but have always allowed air patination to happen. I tried patinating one watch by repeatedly immersing it in a saline solution: it happened, I wanted to like it and, truth be told, felt that I needed to be in or on the sea to do it justice. :o

I suspect the bracelet is expensive because it's a composite bronze with stainless inner. But That's a guess.
I did check this one out at Windup yesterday. The caseback is indeed stainless, but the bronze bracelet is bronze all the way -- inner as well as outer. I also thought skin to bronze contact wasn't ideal, but since I don't own any bronze watches or bracelets, I don't have any first-hand experience.

Interesting. Did you ask them what their experience had been? CW seems to test things pretty thoroughly before launch so they must be aware of the potential issue.

I did ask. They indicated that there were a couple of other solid bronze bracelets on the market (Tudor and Oris, maybe? -- I can't remember). They didn't seem particularly concerned about it. But I guess time will tell. . .
