Drinking then spending
Does anyone else think they’re millionaires once they’ve had a few drinks.?
After last nights drinks the new sealander was ordered without any hesitation
best get my trident sold before the wife finds out

Re: Drinking then spending
Not quite a millionaire but I have been known to finally make the decision to buy reasonably expensive things I've been thinking about for weeks/months while under the influence. Thankfully I don't drink often

I’ve got a mate called Drunk Iain who is always buying me gifts. He bought me a Bremont off eBay once and just last night he bought me tickets to the Download festival next summer, I can’t believe he’s even agreed to camping!!

Iain’s Law: Any discussion on the Christopher Ward forum, irrespective of the thread title or subject matter, will eventually lead to someone mentioning the Bel Canto if the thread continues for long enough.

Re: Drinking then spending
Alcohol makes me fall asleep which isn’t helpful for buying stuff. It’s best for me when I’ve been up all night scrolling through a million watches with wide staring eyes. At some point the voice that says ‘You haven’t bought a watch yet’ gets so insistent I can’t resist, and I click on something I can’t quite afford. Next day I start researching the watch I’ve just bought.

I don’t really do drunk purchases. I do, however, do sleep-deprived purchases. Cf. my watch collection growth in the weeks after my daughter was born.

Re: Drinking then spending
yup, my decision to pick up the C11 elite was taken after a few drinks. I will say that the heart had been saying yes for a while, it just needed the head to shut up for the time it took to find the card and pay!

I buy far, far too much tut after a glass or two.
I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve woken up, slightly worse for wear, and see eBay alerts on my phone congratulating me on my latest purchase.
So far, nothing too excessive or expensive, but I think I’m keeping Mr Postman busy with my returns…
Keep well,
C

Awesome! Nothing like surprise presents, especially if you've bought them for yourself!!

Re: Drinking then spending
Who needs drink?
Because I don't drink (it makes me ill) I have to find other stimuli and it tends to be the watches themselves, generally on EBay which take me for a ride.

Re: Drinking then spending
Unless you cancel/ return it the morning after, the drink is really just an excuse. Spoken with experience
