It's just the white Sealander GMT at the moment, according to the CW website, plus the Sealander Elite which switched a little while back. But I guess they will all have the Swish eventually, once stocks of the ones with the wordmark sell out.

I don’t mind it. I don’t mind mine with the wordmark either.

I liked the twin flags going back to the C7 watches that carried it. I’m glad to see a unified push to using the logo.

Change is hard to accept sometimes. Doesn’t mean it’s bad, also doesn’t mean it’s good. All it means is it’s change, so don’t let it get you down.

It’s funny. Sometimes I like, sometimes I don’t. This one I like.

Ok we all want to know…
Is the high number of Aquitaine models in the recent sale a nod to the fact the next run will be moving back to the long form Christopher Ward logo
Jokes of course. I’m still mad I missed the long form SCs in the sale, that’s one of the few models that I really prefer that version on.

I have CW watches with the following logos: swish only; Christopher Ward at 9:00; Christopher Ward at 12:00; and the Highlander with the tweak to the twin flags logo. The truth is I think they all have their merits. And I've always kind of liked the 9:00 placement, which has struck me as a particularly elegant and clean graphic approach to logo placement -- even if it is "off-balance." That's part of its charm, in my eyes. I also have to say that I like all of them more than the old "Chr. Ward" logo, which I'm not sure would work with the evolving design aesthetic of their watches.

I know your joking about the logo but the AQ bombed cos it’s a duff release and too much of a FF copy.cwa wrote: ↑Wed Jul 13, 2022 3:15 pm Ok we all want to know…

^^^ Greg if you have actually worn, or tried on a BP FF, you certainly wouldn’t think that the Aquitaine was a copy of the FF.

I have seen in the flesh but not tried on, maybe it is because the FF bezel is just too iconic and therefore as soon as it is copied it dives the feel of a homage.

It’s also 10% if the cost of a FF. I’ll never own a FF but I own two Aquitaines in different colors.
The Sealander is a very direct homage of the much better-known Rolex Explorer and it sells well. If the Aquitaine is a bomb like you say (I don’t agree), it’s because of the price relative to the rest of the lineup. I’ve seen many more cropping up recently, including with a friend of mine who’s new to CW. They took advantage of the nearly new sale.

I feel that only the Sealander GMT white dial is a ripoff Exp2 the others all stand alone very well imoNationOfLaws wrote: ↑Wed Jul 20, 2022 9:47 am It’s also 10% if the cost of a FF. I’ll never own a FF but I own two Aquitaines in different colors.

And black. The others are literally Explorers with different colored faces. The point is that many pieces in the lineup are inspired by other brands. The Tridents have been compared to the Seamasters, the Sealanders to the Explorers, the Aquitaines to the Blancpains. I’m not sure I see the issue with the Aquitaines in specific.
