There can be only one! C63 Highlander LE

Post by Stif »

I had a wee look and couldn't find a topic about this, although I was sure I'd read one in the past (maybe just mentioned in one of the Loupe threads?)

Anyway, on Friday I received my C63 Highlander, the limited edition collaboration between CW and the guys from the Scottish Watches podcast:
PXL_20220715_144453377.PORTRAIT.jpg
This is a limited run of 69 (I requested #41) and takes the standard C63 and adds some lovely customisations, including a Saltire caseback:
PXL_20220715_152414427.jpg
and a beautifully textured dial with Saltires & St George's crosses, including a custom twin flags logo made up of each:

The updated logo was the big selling point to me, and excited me from when I first saw the article in Loupe - as a proud Scot I love the symbolism showing us side by side with our English neighbors!

Of course one of the biggest benefits of getting this watch though is that I can now update my forum profile to show I have 2x CW watches in the collection

I love this. I wonder if this would be successful as a forum LE, but with the regular twin flags? I know I’d go for it.

Interesting what they've done with the CW and SW at 9 and 3

Earlier in the year when I expressed interest in the watch, Rikki from the show sent on a wee preview video of a prototype they'd received and I honestly wasn't too sure about the caseback design! But happy to report that in person it is indeed dynamite!

Missed this at first glance, what a fabulous design! Kudos CW.

I'd have one of these with a different hour hand.

This is my kind of LE given the subtle differences but enough to make it special. Dial looks great and I really like the logo change, that's such a lovely touch.

LOVE all the wee relevant design features, especially the redesigned twin flags. And the textured dial is gorgeous. The whole thing looks stunning

That textured dial effect looks great - perhaps a model for future specials. Congrats

First post here on this forum, after being a CW fan for a few years now: Will be getting my Highlander tomorrow, after forgetting that I had put my name in for one via email a few months ago. Looking forward to receiving it. I already have the white and green Sealanders, and the white is my go-to daily wear. Just a fabulous piece. Thought I was on a "watch fast" for a while, but also was fortunate enough to get the Atoll a couple of weeks ago. Ah, well. Looking forward to the conversation here.

PS: And love that Roger Smith was involved in the date wheel color choice for the Highlander, too. . . ; )
