Great Super Compressor review

Post by strapline »

Just found this review of the SC whilst I was idling away some time on YouTube. It only came out about three weeks ago and is done by Youre Terrific. He has the ocean blue model with the centred name below the 12 position, so not the new twin flag version. Interestingly there's a portion of the review when the reviewer gets to sit down with Mike France and Jörg Bader. The forum is given quite a mention, along with its excellent moderators who perform a sterling role for nada (so we're told  ).

There are great shots of the watch as well as a compelling review.

I really hope that guy’s channel gets more traction. The handful of Christopher Ward reviews he’s done have been very fair and balanced, and I love his point of view that when watch collectors talk about “affordability”, they’re still not truly affordable for most people. He doesn’t hype stuff up - just measured, funny reviews. Slick production too.

Thanks for the heads up. It really is a beautiful piece, and reviews like this are certainly helpful to the brand recognition as a whole. I sometimes, and this is one of those times, really wish I was more comfortable with bright colors. Beautiful piece and nice review.

I often feel the same but I’d probably make an exception for this watch.

The SC is truly one of the best they have come out with in the last couple of years. I would say it is colorful for a CW but not as bright as a Farer. There is always the Deep Blue version!

YoureTerrific is great too. I really enjoy his reviews. Not afraid to say when something doesn't click or work for him either.

Every time I see a SC, particularly in ocean blue, I think what a great watch. I’d always thought it’d be the bracelet for me, but that blue Tiber looks amazing.

Yep, I often find myself fawning over the photos of yours. I think this model will go on to be considered something of a classic.

Haven’t come across this guy before but an excellent presentation and photography. I have this watch on the blue Tiber and the bracelet and I have to agree….It is brilliant. I will keep an eye out for him in the future

Great review and thanks for sharing. I bought one a few months ago and love it, wearing it almost every day. I did really like the ocean blue face but ended up choosing the deep blue. Couldn't decide between the Black Tropic rubber and the Camel Vintage Oak, however as they are so easy to change, I bought both straps!

There's a positive reply in there from the Watchgringa even. She says it's her favourite CW

And a laugh out loud comment that you can date a CW from the logo! :D

From the comments on you tube I don't understand what they mean about the misaligned text. I know some of them now have the logo but mine has the name and it looks central to me?!?!? :-s

When they were released the line of text was wonky
