I came across this guy on my Instagram feed, one of his canvas watch straps popped up and I was immediately taken. I went to his page and there was a load of photos of his work, all beautiful and very unique. He lives and works in Finland; all his straps are made from canvas which he sources from old mail sacks (hence the name) as well as military canvas bags and vintage denim etc. Right then I knew I had to have one for my black PVD Elliot brown chronograph. This watch has lived on a black epdm rubber strap since I bought it. I really thought this strap would give the watch a new lease of life.
It wasn't obvious how to contact this guy re getting a strap; I didn't even know if he was in the business of selling them, there was no link to a website. Anyway...a few quick personal messages and a strap was ordered. Anyone looking for something very bespoke and unique should check out his work. He offers endless possibilities.

Re: Postale watch straps
Love the colour and the black writing ties it back to the watch nicely
What reinforcement is there round the holes, if any?

Re: Postale watch straps
Thank you! No reinforcement around the holes but they have been incredibly well cut so I don't see an issue with fraying. He uses really good quality buckles too. If you look closely at the buckle you'll see that it has a P embossed in to it. I particularly like the fade on the word 'Postale', it gives the strap a lived in feel.suicidal_orange wrote: ↑Wed May 18, 2022 3:22 pm Love the colour and the black writing ties it back to the watch nicely

I meant to post this printed card comp slip that came with the strap. Very cool I thought. I love these small, artisan-type touches.

That's a great match up for your Bloxworth, Des.
I think a similar strap would go well on my RNLI Canford, which I routinely wear on one of EB's orange rubber straps.

If he would do it, I reckon a fade out black RNLI on orange might look great on the Canford Guy.

Re: Postale watch straps
I recently bought a strap from this guy (Postale) that lives in Finland. I saw this moonSwatch commission which looks great imo. A lot of people have bemoaned the strap the watch comes on. You can check out his work on Instagram, although I know he’s busy for the next couple of months. Just give me a mention if you see something you like; I said I’d give him a mention on the forum.
