Bumblebee (and friends)
I've had an interest in the Omega Aqua terra for some time, the dressy diver element, nice movement, trademark twisted lugs, teak dial etc.
In many ways the AT appealed more than the Speedy (though I ended up with my Speedy Italian dial albino as its a bit special).
I like a slightly quirky or interest feature so the ATs that jumped out at me were the Spectre and 15000 Gauss.
Anyway the opportunity came up last week to acquire an AT Gauss on strap rather than bracelet (which I'm ok with) at an attractive price, I wasn't looking, didnt have budget allocated so had a long hard think and when I finally decided it had gone.
Roll on Saturday morning and a call from the seller to say his deal had fallen through and it was mine if I wanted, well it would have been rude not to so....
Not arrived yet so this is a pic from a watch blog (for now) until I collect in a week.

Re: Incoming bumblebee
Beautiful watch and a little bit different from the norm...in a good way.
Definitely deserves the bumblebee nickname with that second hand!

Very nice, and something a little different to your everyday AT.
15,000 gauss I can see why you were attracted to that….

Re: Incoming bumblebee
Lovely. I worked with a chap who had one of these which he wore every day. I casually gave a "nice Aqua Terra" to him once and he had absolutely no idea what I was talking about.
"No, I think it's an Omega" he replied

Re: Incoming bumblebee
^^^ Its a bit of an old design, not sure its still in the range. Some of the anti magnetic technology has now been incorporated into the rest of the range but the 15000 Gauss was the 1st of its type, a magnetic resistant watch without a soft iron shield and a display back Instead it uses materials less susceptible to magnetism for the hair spring and other key parts.
