Probably being asked and answered before but there's nothing like a reboot.
Plus I put this forward in the tradition of "The Laird's" topics as insightful and searching
So, what do you think the watch you're wearing says about you?
Or, if you like, what image are you putting over to others?
Of course pictures may help.
I'll start. I'm currently making sure a Seiko 5 auto with orange dial is keeping reasonable time...
...so I'd say that makes me a professional who doesn't take himself too seriously
Others of course may disagree

What does the watch you're wearing say about you?

Re: What does the watch you're wearing say about you?
hmmm, shouldn't this be answered by others?
Otherwise the question should be 'What are you trying to say about yourself through the watch you are wearing?' This would, I think , be a much harder question to answer!
Perhaps we should just state what we are wearing and leave it up to others to say what they think that means about us...

We already have a thread for CWL of the day and non-CWL of the day.highway62 wrote:Perhaps we should just state what we are wearing and leave it up to others to say what they think that means about us...
Personally I think a person who has only one watch is more likely to make a statement about what their watch is trying to convey. When you have lots of watches they tend to be different.
The Omega Seamasters for the corporate Bond want-to-bes.
Rolex for the "I have money, classic taste and authority" or "this is the most expensive watch that I can buy that everybody knows that says I am the dogs ****" brigade. The latter is the domain of salesmen usually.
Cheap Casio. I just need a watch that tells the time and I don't want to pay more than £10 and I don't care what people think. And Argos had it at £1.50 off so it was a bargain.
Sekonda, Accurist, Rotatary - saw these in the watch shop and though it looks quite nice and a reasonable priice.
Breitling - I have immaculate taste.

My watches don't talk...they just think I'm nuts!
