Is the logo changing soon?

Post by chriswt »

Someone on a recent YouTube video mentioned that “maybe” the Christopher Ward text might be disappearing from the watch faces in the near future, is this true?

It might be just a case of wishful thinking but any update on the logo from those with their ear closer to the ground would be great 😊

Did I see the word Aquitaine with a large q, perhaps in upper case. Something like this: AQUITAINE, though not quite so big? Perhaps there'll only be this along with a depth rating and Swiss made etc on the dial. Maybe Christopher Ward is going to be kept for the caseback only!?

I heard that “Christoper Ward” is being replaced with

“Christopher Ward Chronometer
Designed in England, Swiss Assembled
It Goes Really Deep
Deeper Than You Realistically Need
But That’s Part of the Appeal, Right Mate?”

It’s going to be evenly spaced out on the dial, center justified at 12 o’clock in Comic Sans. I saw it on the interwebs so it’s got to be true.

I’ll get my coat and show myself out. :escape:

Mind you that's quite a modest amount of text compared to most Rolex or Tudor watches...

Nope - I heard they’re disrupting the whole thing. Changing the company name completely. Not sure if I should really divulge any more before the official launch....

(I saw it on the inter web so its got to be true)

Hmmmm. The Greek god of strife and discord (or rather, disruption) is Eris. Eris sounds a bit like Oris so already has brand cache. It fits nicely cantered at 12o’clock.

The symbol of Eris is ‘the golden apple of discord’....

To be fair he could have just decided to do that when the company was initially launched…

You could be right or wrong I’m not sure. I think he has more sway now.

I don’t care what they do with the logo so long as they get rid of those pesky middlemen!!!!
