Yep, that’s the one!
Time and money? I’ve spent most of mine on booze and women. The rest I just wasted…

Now that Commando is real class!
The exact same model that was on the cover of a new bike mag back in 1975 that got me lusting over bikes…
Even found a pic of that exact mag road test…

Magic moments.

I've just been out for a short ride prior to Sue's children's families visiting.

Nothing quite like it.

Indeed. I have a nice little multi-day trip planned for next week:

Total Map 620 miles.jpg

A bit over 600 miles in 3 days. Should keep me occupied and I can't wait.

Not quite the exact same model, mine is a Mk2A from 1974 and the one on your magazine cover is a Mk3 with factory fitted electric start from 1975.
What a great magazine cover though, they certainly don't do them like that nowadays!

What a great looking trip you have planned.

Are you riding solo or with friends?

Have a great time.

Thanks, scooter. I'm going with a couple of mates - the guys who were once described as the Cheshire chapter of Hells Angels - also known as a retired head teacher and a lawyer. :)

Looks like a fantastic trip. I’m more than a little jealous.

Popped out on an 80 plus miler on The Monkey through Gillingham, Shaftesbury, The Fovant Badges, Dinton, Wilton, The Woodfords, Amesbury, Wood Henge, Shrewton, Chitterne, Codford, Warminster and home.

A lovely late afternoon and early evening. It's what The Monkey is for and leaves me with a smile on my face.
