Congratulations, looks good.
Is it just a trick of the light that appears to make the watch case more silver than black?
If that is the case I like it even more.

Re: Tribus Orders
Looks excellent scooter. I was sorely tempted by MDS as it is the type of art that I prefer, bright colours etc. I just couldn't get over the line due to the lack of hour markers but that just a personal foible of mine. Doesn't take away that it is a very interesting watch at a great price.

You can attribute that to my atrocious photographic skills.

Ha, no, it is a positive. The photography has captured a different perspective to the stock images.scooter wrote: ↑Tue Nov 23, 2021 2:00 pmIt's black.A1soknownas wrote: ↑Tue Nov 23, 2021 1:54 pm Congratulations, looks good.

When I first saw it I thought it was stainless steel which confused me. The fact it isn't a one dimensional matt black is attractive I think.

Re: Tribus Orders
I'll be honest I was slightly taken aback.
Having read a previous review I was expecting it to come in a bin bag and was thus overjoyed with the packaging.
I was blown away by the individually painted inner box which was encased by a very nice black box.
The watch was fully stickered up and sat perfectly in the indentation prepared for it.
The watch itself is actually beautiful and that's not a word I use lightly.
It's a perfect size and it doesn't need markers nor different hands. I am not a lover of skeleton hands but they work here as the dial itself is what this watch is all about.
I love it but have left it stickered up at the moment. I set it for 12 noon and will await until midnight so that I can assure myself of its timekeeping before putting it on my wrist.
Is it worth £735.01?
Seeing it today, I would happily have paid £1000 for it, no trouble at all.

Really does look amazing. Great to see it’s met your expectations and looking forward to the wrist shots once you’re happy with the time keeping.
You almost sound disappointed that a bin bag wasn’t used. Just think, if that’s how they came, they’d have saved a fortune on packaging costs

Re: Tribus Orders
My TRI02 arrived too. No fancy spray painted packaging here as not the MDS edition but I was equally fearful of a taped up binbag. Nicely packed, no damage to the packing either. Happy with the watch do far too! Bracelet clasp is a little bulky for me but think that's par for the course these days tbh.

Re: Tribus Orders
Regarding the case finishing, the chronometer series TRI-01 - TRI-04 come in either steel or gunmetal finished cases. The MDS series has black finished cases. There have been comments that the gunmetal finish of the chronometers is lighter than most expected, somewhere between steel and typical gunmetal like a slightly darker titanium finish.

Re: Tribus Orders
My TRI-02 arrived today.
I’m one of the many who felt the original pricing was ambitious, and I was very put off my the marketing. The only model I liked enough to be tempted to buy was the TRI-02. The GMT complication is useful to me, the bumblebee colourway attractive and not common in my collection, the two-crown configuration at 2 & 3 unusual & interesting, and the COSC movement all drew me to it.
At 70% off I decided to pounce and I’m pleased I did. I felt communication could have been better given the rumours of collapse, but payment by credit card gave me peace of mind.
My first observations are:

My first observations are:
- Well packaged, in a smart matt black presentation box, which feels better quality than the cheap boxes from anybrand watches
- The watch is clearly brand new, fully wrapped & free from marks, scratches, smudges
- At 41mm it wears larger than I had expected - for me, this is good news
- The bracelet is heavy and feels very good quality. No QR but a solid quick adjust clasp operated by two separate butterfly catches.
- No date - unusual on a GMT but allows the balance of the significant numbers
- COSC certificate but a generic warranty card with no model number, date or serial number.

I think the cases are sized at 41mm. The bracelets are very good aren't they, albeit no QR clasp. Just push pins, but I prefer them to pin and collar.
I thought your watch was gunmetal at first, but on reflection, I think it's SS isn't it? I went for the TRI-03, but that does look good.
