I’m of the opposite opinion Neil. I liked the flat link on my Speedy, but I find the 1450 drapes better from the watch to my wrist than the flat link; more comfortable as well as looking “more angularly correct” if that makes sense. Plus I like the look of the 1450; bit of a fan of president bracelets. Still each to his own and I’ll bet they sit differently on your wrist than mine. I still think that looks great on you.
