Diver Prototype Photos - Work In Progress

Post by joerattz »

Chris emailed me some photos of the divers in the design mode. He specifically mentioned that he is moving toward the ETA 6497 movement.

Only 3 ATM WR?

Post by joerattz »

My first comment is that I am disappointed to see that it looks like Chris is shooting for 30m of water resistance. I was hoping/expecting 200-300 meters.

Actually, not the case

It says 30ATM on the drawings, he corrected it several times. That's 300m!

Interesting, can't wait to see the final product.

You're right. I hadn't looked them over very well at the time I posted them. I am going on vacation soon, and wanted to get them up so everyone could see them, and wouldn't have to wait until I return.

I'm curious as to the 6497 in this application, though I will say that I love the look of the non-chrono diver.

It will be interesting to see how this progresses.

Looks lovely! I love the black/red one that Hans said, and the black/white combo that Warhol said!

If the finishing quality is also good and the bracelet has solid end links i would buy it!

43mm case size. Sweet.

I think the really fine markers are pointless.

43 is a bit large though. I dont think my wrist can handle that. Why cant it be 42 :P , by making it too large there will be a lot of people that pass this watch by just because its too big for them. I think that would be a shame. So i suggest not making it 43 but at max 42.

Well, it is a dive watch after all. I was hoping it would be this large. Also, it fits with the current trend in mens fashion. Which is okay by me. Besides, aren't you like 16 years old? Consider it something you can grow into.

Now, no more of this talk of smaller watches.Image
