I hope that the watch is a real success Richard and raises plenty of money at auction.

Please do update the thread as I'm interested to see what they come up with.
Am I right in thinking the watch will be a collaborative effort between CW and Wessex?

I hope it’s better than some of their previous bespoke designs - mind you, the bar is set pretty low so it shouldn’t be hard!

They appear to be masters of dial detail looking at their website. Breguet like in style and something different to the norm.

Good luck with the project and I hope it is a success.

Not exactly my cup of tea, but to each his own. I'm sure the design will be well thought out and hopefully a great success. Congrats and good luck on the project.

Sounds like a great project for a great cause

Well I have to say that I had not heard of Wessex Watches so further investigation was necessary.
Those that have seen a couple in my collection (Valimor - Arthurian legend) will find it as no surprise that I'm quite taken with a couple of the designs. Then, what really blew me away, I see that they are literally just down the road from me!
:-k might have to pay them a visit.

I only became familiar with Wessex watches from the Scottish Watches podcast #278 (July 2021). They should make a cracker of a watch. Good luck with a great project.

Hi Richard

Thanks for letting us know. I hope you raise a substantial sum for your charity. You didn't actually confirm which charity it is. Are you allowed to do so at this point? Also, would you actually be allowed to bid for the watch in due course?

Wessex watches aren't my style, but the dials are very impressive. Their is a lot of craftsmanship evident in them.
Richard D wrote: Thu Oct 14, 2021 10:18 pm This is primarily a Wessex led project but CW is certainly in the background.
I know you can't say anything more than you have, but this kind of sounds like code for a Wessex designed and built watch with a SH21 movement. Time will tell I suppose.

They haven’t been deleted, Ryan. Had they been deleted by the poster or a moderator you would not see them. They have been edited by the poster.
