Like them or loath them, I suspect that acronyms such as these are with us for the foreseeable future. Some will go out of fashion and new ones will emerge. Language is, and has always been, in constant flux. After all, who has a wireless set in the drawing room these days?
I don’t receive many text messages from individuals these days, but I remember when text-speak was all the rage. Many years ago my goddaughter Sarah, then aged about 13, texted her thank yous for Christmas presents:
“Thx 4 mi prezi itz bril luv sa xx”
Whether apocryphal or not, there is a story of a child receiving a text message from her grandmother:
“Dear Lucy, Bruno is very poorly and we have to take him to the vet. LOL, Gran”
Poor old dear thought it meant Lots of Love!

^^ ^^
Distil what you're saying further, Steve, and language as we know it today may disappear altogether. There will certainly be no need to learn foreign languages anymore; IT will eradicate that long laborious process and all the verb conjugation. I can see the emoji options on our electronic devices becoming hugely exhaustive. Grime speak seems to be pretty popular with the youth of today; words of three of more syllables are frankly meh.

None of this should be confused with the DODO watch - Don’t Own due to Debt Overload!

Re: GADA / GODO
New question then; how does everyone pronounce GODO? As in the 2 words Go Do, or as in Beckett’s “Waiting for Godot“ (silent t obviously). Or is there some other variation I hadn’t considered?

^^^ No need to be able to pronounce it Gary.
It is not a word that I am likely to use in the real world, outside the weirdness of watch forums.

Re: GADA / GODO
Ain’t that true enough!
If pushed though, I would certainly rhyme with Go and Do, and the other one rather as an Englishman might pronounce the word for the Irish police (GARDA) but without the rhotic R in the middle. Both are probably easier to remember than MUSAT (Multi Use Sports Activity Timepiece).

Re: GADA / GODO
While I’ll probably never say it out loud, I do read it aloud in my mind every time.
To me it rhymes with the extinct bird the dodo, so not Go Do or Godo(t)
Just throwing a third option out there......
