Re: CWL of the day
Stopped by Tourneau here in Houston, TX over my lunch break. I was looking for something for my wife but decided to try out an Omega Aquaterra. It was nice, but that's not my point. I took off my CW 09 FLE, and the salesman (sporting a datejust) stopped his sales pitch on the Omega in mid sentence to ask me about my watch. I took a good look over it and was very complimentary...I know, I know. A watch retailer who is complimentary to a customer, but I think his surprise at seeing the FLE was geniune. I won't post a pic of mine today since so many good pics of it's brethren are already on this thread already. Anyway, that's my story for today.
And no, I didn't drop the $5k required for the Aquaterra. The anthracite dial puts off some odd light reflections that were really distracting to me.

Rare outing for this one today. Seriously debating whether or not this would be better off with a new owner..

Short honeymoon Richard! Dial too cluttered? No use for chrono? Really want the C9 or Becketts? Better sell one or buy another - can't stay on 13!!

Scarily accurate analysis Robin..

I use them now and then, but I have a few others.. Really want the C9 or Becketts? I want both of those. I am also eager to see the white C90 Better sell one or buy another - can't stay on 13!! Been on 13 for a while, that's not a big deal...

Thanks.atnits wrote:C5 looks great on that strap - that's what I'm gonna do to mine, too!
The thicker strap makes the watch look a bit heavier, which seems to suit it. This strap is 18mm straight, whereas the original tapers to 16mm, which looked a bit daft on my gorilla wrist.

Re: CWL of the day
Very nice Roston and lovely photo. I'm sure they could have made the date orifice just a tad bigger to accommodate the double digit and then it would be perfect!
