Yes, I didn’t like the hill assist in auto mode. I have mine in manual and mainly use it to avoid the shuffle at traffic lights etc.

In comparison with the 4 cylinder BMW’s the boxer quick shift still feels a bit agricultural and unsympathetic- although it’s very smooth when you are “making progress”.

Anyway, enjoy the bike!

Thirty four degrees on the mercury, non-ventilated gear andby the time I was half way home I resembled one of those boil-in-the-bag meals which were so popular in the 70s. Lots of toys to get to grips with. Today was a (slightly cooler) fettling in the garage to fit the fender extender and rear protector amongst other things. No photos of significance yet, other than the predictably cheesy dealership shot.

Don't I know it :?
I have the same issue particularly with my Weise jacket.
However the Aplinestars Andes Drystar jacket I have just picked up is somewhat better as I can open it up at the top and get some cooling.
Mind you, I'm finding the Ride Tech/3D-Skin Cool base layers brilliant :D
...even if I do look like Rudolf Nureyev!

Very errr sexy (yes i said it). Looks like it should have its own theme tune playing whenever you ride it (along the lines of some of the great old British war films)..

Indeed. It's a connection that has been made in several ways, from Guy Martin's Great Escape...

It baffles me who would want an £18.5k motorcycle with "007" plastered all over it, but I guess there is a market - even if the base bike costs about £6k less...

Is this so far removed from putting some commemorative, historic scrap metal into a watch (caseback or dial)? :-k :-k

I think it's quite different to that type of watch LE, Guy. Mainly because those LE's are commemorating something real as opposed to a long-running overrated fictional film franchise. :D

To me, this bike is in the same league as the Omega LE's with 007 on the seconds-hand. Some people like them, I guess - but they are absolutely not my cuppa.

New front indicators on the Scrambler? Oh, and mirrors! Really hitting the accessories catalogues :)

My first proper ride out on the new steed following one of my stock Sunday morning ride variants. Very happy with the bike- though having been used to a particular BMW indicator switch configuration for the last 23 years, I did manage to indicate left with a blast of the horn.

The new bike looks pretty sharp, Rich. The horn-blasting was a regular occurrence when I was switching between the Honda and BMW, but thankfully the Triumph and BMW are not presenting the same issue.

And yes, eagle eyes to spot the latest changes to the Scrambler. I think that's it for now.

It is indeed Guy- the Stroud, Cirencester, Barnsley, Bibury, Aldsworth, Burford, Fairford, Lechlade and back to Ciren route makes a nice morning tootle. Picturesque Cotswolds villages, quiet roads, gentle sweeping curves to practise road positioning.
