Yep, bracelet. Always buy on the bracelet.

They’re almost the same price and a Fauxmega rubber strap can be sourced from eBay for very little (£30-£50) as an alternative...

Yes, I agree. If possible I always try to buy the bracelet as well, for the all the reasons stated. I was completely enamored with this for a while, now wonder if the yellow stripe on the bezel is a bit too much of a good thing. Thanks for the input. :D

In the metal the yellow on the bezel is much less pronounced than the yellow on the hands and the dial. This picture (that I took a while ago) actually accentuates the bezel colour:

When I am wearing it I don't see that, it just becomes background colouration, but definitely enhances the watch. I just love the detail on the face, the different colours for the time and stopwatch hands and the way the face colour changes depending on the light. Because of your post I just swapped from my Speedy Pro to this and it is just such a different watch, both great, but in very different ways. The face of the watch is currently looking very blue at certain angles - lovely.

Thanks again for the insights. I think I like this as much or more than anything I have seen in recent months. I currently don't have a chrono of any kind, at the same time, I also really want to scratch the itch for a co axial movement. Hmmmmm.

I know this might be a “marmite” watch, but the more I look at it, the more I seem to covet it 😁

Well if it’s good enough for Shinzō Abe, it’s ok with me.
