Out for a 33mile sojourn today. Taking in Saul Junction, on the Gloucester to Sharpness Canal and Arlingham down by the River Severn. The weather was glorious!

Looks great, I'm jealous. I sat in an office and on a train, admiring the beautiful weather from afar

Superb looking bike Richard. How does it compare against the BMW, for this kind of ride?
Steve.
Re: Post a picture from your latest ride
Chalk and cheese, Steve. The BMW is sensible, with a commanding seating position, it feels safer and encourages a grown-up riding style. Having said that, it shifts nicely and hustles around corners in a precise way. The Z900RS is a bit lighter, more direct and very flickable. It also has an intoxicating sound track (although I'm still running it in and short-shifting just as the noise gets started), shorter gearing and a fairly aggressive throttle response.Thermexman wrote: ↑Mon May 20, 2019 5:57 pm Superb looking bike Richard. So, they offer two different experiences, but both cope well with the twisty bits of the Peak District. Long distance, it would always be the BMW, but warm summer evenings are the Z's playground.

The Kawasaki sounds like a lot of fun, would you use it in the wet or is the BMW a safer option?

A flash drive

There's far too many shiny bits on the Kawasaki to use it in bad weather, and zero weather protection for the rider - so it will be a summer bike, I reckon. Having said that, given our fairly unpredictable weather it's bound to get caught in the wet, and there's no reason to think it would be less safe than the BMW, as it has similar electronic safety systems and stuff.

Stick on some knobbly tyres and the Monkey would make a reasonable air portable / parachuteable Dispatch Rider's bike.
